What you do to make the water rise,is to make a line of Redstone repeaters which connect to command blocks. in them do /fill.

Acually the best way is to put a command block behind the button that just setblocks a redstone block to activate the /flood command blocks. Redstone isnt reliable if youre out of render distance. If you wanna see how i did it ive made my own few videos myself

I made it flood on my version in at least 2 1/2 hrs. It is hard to explain, and I will demonstrate in a video. To use "commands" so the door opens outside (and really anywhere else) use structure blocks. They are on PC and might be on Pocket Edition, not sure. To obtain it, type /give @p structure_block and it might give it to you. I will make a video to show how to use structure blocks, (or look it up) and my version of Sinking Ship. And 1 more thing (don't get upset, society can share opinions) The level design was a bit "cheap". Try to see if you can fix some things up.
