Something I really appreciate about this anim, is how it includes the stopped clocks at the same time in the game that all of them froze. How it has the Portrait of a Young Man used to summon presumably his new God form or something connected, even the same radios! It is great attention to detail. I couldn't help but think more on the time thing. (presumably when the festival of Terminal began to occur?) Perhaps it implies due to the way the fog just... Locks you in, that this domain of the moon the town has become is a sealed almost temporary pocket dimension for those chosen to be in it or already there as it formed? Once you're in, can't get out, time works weird as hell (days go on for many hours, until you sleep, and even then, not much progress... The clocks all froze universally at the same time (14:35 I think?) and when the festival is forcibly ended atop the moon tower, the fog clears and shows the whole city and outskirts again. Not smart enough to put it all together but it's fascinating to see the less explicit powers and mechanisms of the Gods and their areas of power be shown in depth with enough clues to make theories!

Yes, even the Mooscorched designs are very reminiscent of Silent Hill type monsters. And the "Moldy Apartments" are a nod to Silent Hill 4.

I got really lucky with books of enlightenment in my Marcoh run for Terminal, and it's a Marcoh run lol, to the point I felt there was little tension and I could save scum areas by saving before each difficult or extensive looking region then just running in over and over. Yet, the apartments, their deadly silence, the few enemies, the way it is all so... Sleepy was genuinely anxiety inducing in an awesome way. I was surprised. In it for the characters, and for that great, great atmosphere. (Okay plus the god lore but it's in that order) - what's your personal focus/draw for the series?

Putting the chill respites in termina makes it that much better... i dunno, the overall vibes are so much better when you think of prehevil first and then the Dungeon of Fear and Hunger second.
