I woke up to immediately find that you had posted. This day is off to a strong start.

The old gods are interesting in both their presence and absence. The idea of their fight being only against a fraction of themselves is pretty telling considering how hard it is.

Yaaaaay F&H lore viiid. I've got to admit, All-Mer is one of my favorite confusing lore pieces. I've got my pet theory for why he died, but I'll save that for Termina.

Gro'goroth. Primordial Destruction. And a Primordial, all around Chill Dude to humanity.

Great video, but there is one thing I'd like to point out. All-Mer's death wasn't the catalyst for the new god ascendancy craziness. To my knowledge, it was originally implied that some existed before All-Mer, but there was not much else to go on. However, Termina sheds light on this subject in one of Enki's Skin bibles. I can't post the whole text here, but the general gist of it is that there were two accounts for how All-Mer came to be. Enki points out that despite the differences in these two origin stories, the accounts do not differ too much. The text states that All-Mer's actions shook the foundations of the world and "... demolished the worship New Gods of the time had been enjoying."

Funnily enough I'm writing the Termina videos ATM and came across that exact text yesterday 😅

Enjoyed the video! One thing oh note though. Gro-goroth doesn't wear skin to 'relive' fear. He is said to wear it to 'relieve' fear. As in reduce or quell fear. Likely the fear of others. Taking a human form to not terrify those he'd associate with. Although! I wonder how much truth there is in that idea? I imagine in the history of Fear and Hunger's world, people who brought mass devastation and destruction to the world could have been labeled Gro-goroth taken human form whether or not they truly were.

Oh damn good spot, annoyed I didn't realize that while recording. Wonder whose fear he's trying to relieve in that case...

Do you have a Patron or Coffee? I want to be able to support the channel directly

Not at the moment, appreciate that though, I'll maybe have something set up in the new year. I want to test the waters with some non Fear and Hunger content before I ask people to support the channel tbh.

I thought Judas was the 13th Apostle, not the 12th. That's supposedly why 13 is an "unlucky number".
@jirehornelastavera36422 күн бұрын
Nah, that's Matthias, but that's because the 11 apostles that remained wanted to keep the number 12. It has always been 12 in the Christian canon. Stephen and Paul (Saul) have the most theological basis for being the 13th apostle, but they come after Jesus' ascension. Stephen being the most prominent martyr in early Acts, and Paul witnessing Stephen's stoning, decided to hunt down Christians, and eventually writing multiple books in the New Testament. So no, the 13 being an unlucky number doesn't come from the apostles, that has a different origin that isn't from the 12 apostles.

13 is an unlucky number because the 13th at the table, Jesus, is the one who died. Thats what i've heard
