Johnny (mom's boyfriend) took him down to the basement and beat him till he screamed and he cried, we learned that in Mansion, that's where his fear became a part of him, the basement is where he holds all his anger, which he will need when he writes his song to Johnny, let's hope he can let go of some of that anger when he does. Great reaction, Intro III is one of my favorite NF songs, it's genius.

The song about Johnny hasn't come out yet, but popular theory is he's the mom's boyfriend that beat him. "You put me in the corner so you could see the fear in my eyes, then took my downstairs and beat me 'til I screamed and I cried." You caught on pretty quick man, it was a great reaction. Can't wait for you to continue. Nate's been growing this whole time, but from here on out he starts to evolve and find a little bit more of his confidence.

I literally just stumbled upon your channel today & have watched all the NF videos & bout to hop on the EZ Mil ones after this one. But I definitely had to turn my notifications on (I rarely ever do that) but bc I can tell that you are actually trying to understand NF for his actual talent & not just like doing his music for the views/subs, I have mad respect for you. I only found NF just over a year ago & was instantly a fan. Relatability is uncanny & because I have BPD & a few other Mental Health Problems, it was so refreshing to finally see that there was an artist (within the genre of music that I listened too) that could explain & express how my mind was like, as in Mansion. I just recently had asked my husband to really listen to Mansion & see if that could help him better understand how my mind is. & he listened & asked if there was any more songs of his that I could relate too & would they help him to understand my mind, & I was like oh boy you have no idea lol. But yeah I gave him a couple of song titles & he called me back crying & said that he just finished up the last song that I gave him, which was “Trauma”(The Search Album) & said he never fully understood what I was going through & so he could never have ever fully related until he heard those songs & that he would be more understanding & patient with me when I’m not in my right frame of mind. It’s honestly been really hard for me personally but this past year was just pure H E L L & I had to just up & leave my house, my life, my marriage to try to find myself again & then having my husband finally listen to those few songs, literally has been a saving grace & a pure blessing in disguise. To be able to have my husband be more understanding & patient with me whenever I’m struggling with whatever it may be, instead of just being annoyed & fussing about why I can’t just tell him what’s wrong, literally has saved my life, & my marriage. I’m sorry that I’m rambling but music has always been my escape & finding NF has been the best thing I’ve ever stumbled upon. God Bless ✝️💟☮️

Solid reaction, man. Glad you went back to check out Mansion beforehand. From my understanding, Fear is the primary voice throughout this entire song. Nate chimes in near the start with the, "I don't really want to talk about it" line before Fear tells him to "Shut up" before continuing his own rant. From there, it's just Fear talking until Nate says "And where is my shovel at?" Fear responds and then their back and forth kicks off. Nate tells him to shut up and says he doesn't want to hear another sentence and then the two of them are off to the races. Any who, loved your reaction to this song (and the rest of your NF journey thus far). Looking forward to the rest to come!

These lyrics are wrong with various typos and errors like "Hell, man up, is it me or" part is actually "Hey! I'm NF! Is it me or the fear talking?". The "Hey! I'm NF" line is fear mocking Nate and how Nate mentioned fear in that line in the song. The "Ayy, that's pretty deep, isn't it?" line is also a double given the lines before it as it not only describes the hole, but also philosophical version of "deep" given the content that Nap raps about lol. The fanbase believes (for good reason) Johnny is the step-dad that NF references, especially in Mansion, having beat him and being abusive. Only reason I say "believes" is because NF himself has not confirmed it (as far as I know). Also, "That's funny, what? you ain't got where to sleep" is a double and plays on the phrase "Fear never sleeps" 😆 As for when nate started talking, if you listen to the song without stopping, you'll be able to tell when he first says anything (pretty early on) because there's a clear shift in vocal tones between them Fear as a more agressive deeper tone at first and Nate has a slightly fainter/higher pitch that is a little more in the background (as if he's smaller). But the roles eventually flip and reverses (hitting fear part). Brilliant storytelling from Nate in this... The only intro without a video and is so well done that all a video would have done is take away from the power of the song (eg: how do you visualize fear itself?) .
