Y’know ever since the Nothing to Fear special I got the feeling that Arava had a deep rooted phobia of her own, but I wasn’t quite sure what. Now it all makes sense: she feared being useless; that feeling of never being enough which ultimately led her down a well-intentioned, but toxic and destructive road. It’s kind of ironic. Arava dubbed herself “Fear Herself” but never truly mastered fear. If she had maybe she would’ve overcome her own fears a long time ago.

He seems to be older than the others and the most powerful besides Psychoperadalict (damn Popcross likes his long and complicated names). We got a taste of what Psycho can do, now i want to see Elder absolutely mindfuck the Sharp Gang and tear into them one by one with their worst fears completely on display. I imagine the romance one will be the next to bite the dust after Scipheromov since he has the least amount of development behind Suvasterith and Kaijugrex. If Fanterel doesn't manage to get her ass killed in the process, I'd love to see her turn a new leaf. But I imagine all of the Archons (and possibly Tarsa) are gonna bite it before this phase is over.

@@diamondwardentord3280I don’t know. Eldrorrok’s voice seemed a bit monotonous and he only talked in the second part of Nothing To Fear But Fear Herself Part 2. The Archon’s voice from the Dinosaurs as Demons Part 4 was Kaijagrex, given how much he chuckled and from the way Christian smiled maniacally on the bottom right, he gives off that Dark Souls boss vibes. Especially the way he says this, “No matter how revered a general may be, he will never outrank a king.”

I love characters like Fear. You meet them in the depths of their villiany, then learn why they became who they were as they grow into a better person who might even join the good guys. I'm thinking characters like Zuko from ATLA or even Missy from Doctor Who Series 10 and 11. This was so cool, and the art in this episode feel like it has a little something extra that the usual 4 drawings per episode types don't have. Really looking forward to the Vigilance episodes now!

Imagine giving your villain such a sad backstory that you accidentally started wanting to redeem them. Don’t blame you though; after all THAT? Yeah, that girl just needs a freaking break. I do enjoy the more story focused format, plus the drawings you did make for this video were both amazing (don’t have too much to add about them since they’re both reposes, albeit really good ones). Unrelated, but I recently have been getting into Hazbin Hotel (partially thanks to you), and from the voice effects to the personality to the terror he projects, I love how much Psychoperditch reminds me of Alastor (despite looking more like Vox). That aside I really loved this video, so keep up the stellar work! Today is Day 120 of me requesting Shovel Knight characters as dragons.

You know, Fear Herself has some interesting ideas and concepts. In particular with her Nightmare hunter curse. Mara becomes stronger when she kills things, but this ability lies with a person who is very reluctant to both kill anything or anyone, as well as seeing how strong she can get. Same thing goes with the reapers powers, given to Alexis who is cool as she is, but grows stronger as she kills, which she has a very hard moral problem with. I am living and dying to think what would happen if cosmic powers and demonic curses were given to a total badass who has no issue killing left and right. (Punisher + Spirit of Vengance + Power Cosmic= Cosmic Ghosterider) (Unkillable Kate + Curse + Reaper = The Nightmare reaper? The reaper of Nightmares?)

Given how easily Psycho-wotsisname could've just dumped FEAR somewhere where her former victims could have torn her apart but just left her alone with her misery - he truly is a demon. PS I have a brilliant follow-up for this: as part of their training Jake, Ana and the Mavericks are sent on 'mercy missions' in random dimensions to help a mystery person. On one mission Jake and Ana recognise the dimension as their former home and they end up going to an island rumoured to be haunted. Instead, they find FEAR, driven insane by her isolation and believing Jake, Ana and the others are just illusions sent by the Archons to torment her. Darwin asks "You guys know her?" And Ana just mumbles "Yeah, at least i THOUGHT we did"

Honestly really loved this story. It says so much on Aarava/Fear herself and why she does what she does. I was expecting a more traditional full on villain with only the light possibility of a tragic past that started her path to where she is, didn't expect to full on feel sorry for a lady whose made hordes of demons to torment her world. Also speaks to how bad the Archons are, not really caring much for what she believes in or wants. Truly sadistic demonic gods that she just gave form to, rather than having any true power over. They never cared about her or her goals, just wanting to torment the multiverse to their heart's content. Honestly wondering what'll happen with her from here on out. I'd honestly expected her to get taken out in her own special, likely not slain by Alexis though. From here, I'd definitely wanna see more of what's going on in her dimension with everything that happened here. Especially given what happened to her Overseer Energy, that HAS to be explored.

I'm betting Fears redemption arc will be a whole lot slower than Dresden's because of her bad past with most of the main characters. I also wonder what the next big bad of Multiverse tails will be after the Archons are gone with 6 left to go, and I'm excited because you (Popcross) keep upping the power of each main villain and I love that.

Man hitting me in the feels with this one. PTSD or any kind of trauma is absolutely crippling. I especially related to Fear chucking that knife away after being given that ultimatum as I've had to do that so many times, the only difference being that I was too much of a coward to actually do it. a redemption arc would be awesome. I love those kinds of things. I watched the tangled series and felt awful when vaian turned evil but then he redeemed himself and he became my favorite again. I hope FEAR has a similar story. who know maybe a mech armor maker would find her on that spit of land with the help of a gopher.
