India was already very highly resourceful that's why Indian kings never felt the urge to invade the lesser resourceful lands around it such as Tibet Afghanistan Iran or central Asia... Kalinga was never conquered by both Chandragupta and Bindusara it is finally conquered by Ashoka in his 2nd or 3rd Kalinga campaign. Source- mauryan inscription of Jajpur district odisha and inscriptions found in jaugada and Buddhists caves of udaygiri ratnagiri and khandagiri

Kalinga was part of Nandas and therefore became part of Mauryans. There's no record between conquest of Mahapadmananda and the Ashokan inscriptions on Kalinga so many historians have interpreted in many ways.

Great documentary, wish it is made in Tamil as well. The Mauryans were the dominant power of the subcontinent at the time but it's not clear if MooVendhar(Three Crowned Kings) accepted Maurya rule over Tamilagam, we need proper source for it.

But historians claim that satyaputras , cholas , Pandyas , keralaputras were not conquered by bindusara as there is little evidence for it and so they weren’t conquered and also nice video your new subscriber I hope for more videos and it’s sad we haven’t read about bindusara who is more powerful than Chandragupta Maurya and Ashoka

I understand that you have given plenty of scholarly references for the content of your video but I haven’t read anywhere in my own reading that any scholar talks of even a single conquest made by Bindusara. Very little is known of him. Can you please share the specific sources which talk about Bindusara’s southern campaign so that I may read them ? Thanks.
