1:59 I feel you there. I’m six months ahead on my mortgage on my primary residence. I have a paid for rental property and my other rental property is paid up 13 months in advance and I’ll pay off my credit cards two or three times a week financial paranoia.

Nowadays I just pay one month at a time but already ahead, so still have my emergency buffer built in. Figure if something happens to me, my hubby has time to figure out all the bills before they pile up. 😎

Great topic and insights... I almost think that a person who realizes they are suffering from this "not expecting tomorrow to materialize".... probably a good idea to get a buddy for accountability or even to take a percentage to save for them off the top... obv someone trustworthy

My dad gambled away his entire 401k after he took it out before age 59 1/2 so then he paid the 10% penalty and then he forged my mom‘s name on cash app refinance paperwork on their primary residence and then he took out the cash out portion and took it to the casino and lost that as well.

I’m so sorry. Gambling addiction is such a tough topic. Truly destroys lives.
