A real horror gem. I precisely remember the broadcast - 18:30 on Radio 4 on a Monday in the Spring of 1991 as part of a genre series. Scared the bejesus out of me. Surprised the work was aired so early in the evening given its content. Years later I chanced upon the original story in the John Wyndham anthology "The Seeds of Time".
