Well, my problem with the goons is not being unable to kill them; I can kill them pretty easily. Why I fear the goons is 80% of the time, knight one taps my face or ears within the first second I make contact, then the other 20% of the time, bird eye shoots me from 400 meters away through like 5 bushes

When the Goons ambushed me on a Lighthouse run and I saw Knight's M61 lightshow, I ran into one of the shaleys. Knight eventually ran into the door I was hiding behind and I magdumped my MP7 into his face. Meanwhile Big Pipe was heavily breathing in the bushes outside and I never saw him. Pretty sure he tried spraying at me though.

For some reason the bosses in pve feel more cracked than pvp

no lag ( or just abrely) on their side so their tracking is far faster. If you can kill them on PvE, you will have it very easy on PvP

So u have to do the no boss shit if u want to do quests on shoreline 😂 cuz the sniper guy will spot you across the whole map and snipe at you. And if u stop running for 1 second knight will teliport behind you

as that guy before, do a big rotation, close them from the sea side, take the rocks up the hill as cover and use grenades to spot them, especially birdeye since he has no footstep sounds ammo doesnt matter, none of them wear mentionable helmets, any fast firing gun with low recoil is viable, just aim at their throat for me it works every time, just avoid range fights

Folks in the comments are right about big rotations but that simply isn't possible because most of the quests require you to get within aggro of birdeye. Example, if you're trying to complete Signal for Mechanic, you literally have to defeat the goons and face off all the PMCs, scav boss, guards and Scavs at Health resort. It would help if the PMCs would fight each other and or be attacked by goons and scav boss. Solo Pve = Player vs everybody and you feel it on shoreline. Absolutely hate this map atm.

One thing overlooked in the video is that the damage and penetration numbers on ammo are what it does at full velocity, right out of the barrel - the game has a pretty detailed ballistics simulation, which includes drop over distance and loss of velocity, decreasing damage and penetration the further the bullet travels. Just because it says 80 damage on M80 doesn't mean you'll still get that full damage when shooting at medium distances or sniping

@@CUBAN1292 at long ranges (200m+) I like M62 because it usually retains enough penetration to punch through most helmets and since it's a tracer, adjusting for drop is easier

Raiders base on lighthouse is a nightmare because of this trio. They spawn almost every raid and they rush you as soon as you make a step inside the base.

I'd love to hear others input/advice on how to funnel the goons on shoreline. For me, my strat is to get to the most southeast shoreline where the industrial yard is with the blue fence. There is a hole in the most south west side of it that cannot be flanked from the west. Once there ill sprint and jump back and forth thru that hole and it will trigger birdeye, knight and big pipe will rush and they 100% make the same approach. What I've learned is once you hear that birdeye shot, take position and do NOT make a sound. If you make the slightest noise when they approach they sometimes prefire but most definitely will be locked to your head when they push thru the fatal funnel you're trying to use. If I manage to stay 100% silent, many of times they push thru and are facing the wrong way giving me extra time mag dump their face. The goons make questing on shoreline a total pain, so by all means please share how to farm them on this map because I only have 1 strat and it's 100% dependant on my spawn, (near road to custom or south of it).

If they’re at Weather Station I’ll aggro them then run behind the large rock directly south; once BP and Knight get pissed off enough they’ll just charge around the corner of the rock and get blapped. Then it’s just Birdeye, but it seems if the other two are down then he’ll walk into the meat grinder as well.

You can use a base mp5 from peacekeeper and take them with any weapon that's full auto and let the push cause they have a delay to shoot cause they crouch before they shoot

@@crusadurus flashbangs work as well for getting the voice lines, also if you manage to flash them, they'll actually be stunned and shoot in random directions, giving you an opportunity to take a shot on them. also, never fight them in the open.

Also I found if they aggro you near dorms they get stuck on the second story entrance to 3 story. They'll stop just to the side of the door and never open it but sit there. Got the goons 3 times doing this.

I’ve had night and pipe push 2nd floor inside dorms from car extract side killed them both bird eye never pushed figured he just stayed outside in the bushes somewhere wasn’t tryna fuck with him

another slightly more affordable and accessible kit build is the vector with ap 6.3. it may sound lackluster in writing, but they don't have head armor except for knight, and headshots are super easy/ two shots to the head will kill. but with the vector, the fire rate is so high you won't even notice you've hit them twice in the head before they go down. also, I recommend using it unsuppressed in PVE for durability burn and overheating.

Also, another tip is if you spot them, and they aren't aggro'd to you, kill either big pipe or Birdeye first. I recommend big pipe because I've notice that if you take out either Birdeye or Knight, Big Pipe will automatically lock onto you wherever you are and no matter how far you are and will kill you. if you take out Big pipe first, knight will just rush you and then Birdeye after. I think the reason Big Pipe locks onto you is because it's the games way of suppressing you so knight can push, but in turn if you are exposed, all his rounds will hit and instantly kill you. It's up to anyone reading this, but I always run Woods, Shoreline and Lighthouse at night because you can get an unlucky spawn right next to theirs and could even be killed before fully loading in. At night, their visibility goes down, so you have a higher chance to evade the area before being spotted to reposition to fight them or avoid them entirely.

I've always just used either a PPSh-41 with Pst gzh or an RPD with PP or PS ammo to murder them with. None of them protect themselves particularly well. The only danger I've experienced is when they all come at once and you are caught reloading, hence the drums xD

What has worked best for me is the RPDN with PS GZH and a bit of luck. But in that scenario, it’s a lot easier to fight them when you have 200 rounds, 1 reload, and no jams. However, without cover your chances drop and that’s were the bit of luck come in.

They have no footstep sound, they just appear out of nowhere. You can be prepared as hell and they will still clap you.

I suggest .300 on cbj (or smth like that) rounds. They drop anybody (I mean, I ve killed killa and tagilla through their masks) fast and it has 60 rounders if you like to mag dump. Also, I’d like point out their ridiculous shooting skills. I ve got a knight kill from big mountain on shoreline, it was 700 meters, then a second later tracers came from his friends to my place and damaged my armor. Insane. I packed my stuff and run away lol

You agro one and they'll chase you all the way to extract. In PvP last wipe, I was insta-deleted by Knight as soon as I entered 3rd floor dorms. I had no idea they'd chase players that far, or enter the building!

Personally i aggro them by shooting at the fortress from crackhouse. as soon i hear running i run up 1st floor and get into the room with the filing cabinets, aim for the door and wait until the either get into the room or get stuck at the staircase because they run into the bottom right corner of the stairs and get stuck. 🤣

I like the goons but sometimes i run into them way too often. For example today i was farming a lighthouse quest and couldn't stop running into them. 3/4 raids before i went to another map

I haven’t been able to get them to spawn except for once when I was a scav. I one tapped birdeye with the snub nose mosin and night sent me to the afterlife immediately. I’ve run over 100 raids on customs and not once have they spawned when I’m pmc.

Every time i've spawned across the river from RUAF and the Goons are up, they aggro and start firing at me before I even cross the river

Great concise video, thank you! One of the final few quests I need for my first time getting Kappa. I ran some earlier but was pushing crack, or fortress head on and got rekt a couple times with them being out in the open. On an unrelated note, I was able to complete Tarkov shooter 7&8, Psycho Sniper, and Reserve SBIH in just a few raids today using the dome strat w/ FLIR. I think you've uploaded a couple videos on this strat. Are you planning on making a video on doing SBIH on the other maps? Camping spots, etc.

Yes. You can even do it if you die if you're fast enough to do it before the raid fades out. Kind of cheesy but it's doable.

I’ve been using the TX-15 in PVE to kill the goons. They don’t have helmets so you can literally one tap them to the head. The TX is an actual laser beam with zero recoil

I soloed them all 3 in Shoreland down the hill of the big radar. I heard them coming at me so I patiently wait for them and shot them with a AKS-74UN with BT ammo. Was lucky I could reload mags between each of them. I shot them on their side when they were running downhill. If I had to face them instead, it would have been another game and wouldn’t have made it.

i found stitching them up with either 9mmAP OR littealy any 4.6HK round in the mp7 (other than hollow points) will absolutely body the goons. especially Knight and Pipe that charge you

I find 45acp AP rounds quite strong. The very first raid I did with a UMP with this ammo, Saved me from getting beaten to death by tagilla in factory

I ran rusted room for fun today, an lucky my first run the key was there. To my surprise there was 3 marked keys in there. RB-Bk, RB-PKPM, and check 13. Plus labs manager office key. I haven’t chanced on the rusted key since. maybe the run is back????

Idk if this is farming. But I go into Lighthouse they have 2 spawns. Chalet and Building 2. Yes i have a little “cheat sheet” because I already mapped out the distances with my raptar rangefinder. Depending on the round i’m using which includes .338 FMJ, M62 7.62x51, or Sig Hybrid and for arms it’s either the Mjolnir Mk18, Sig Spear or RSASS. Then i go to a night raid 22:00 - 05:00 and snipe them all and vacuum the loot. GGS

Helpful video in a lot of ways My biggest issue is getting ambushed and dying while questing. It was really hard to survive before level 15 but its getting easier to get these goons. I'll try killing them this way before i approach the fortress area.

The goons even penetrate mountains in Lighthouse so ye... The easiest way for me to kill them is to go on Shoreline, to the Station tower at night, kill Birdeye on the tower's second floor from afar, and then just wait for the others to come to me, while I am behind a rock.

I used starting pistol with m882. Didn't plan on it thought I was southside of bridge crossing and was scouting kinda slow looking for scavs and maybe a pmc. I heard usec line on otherside of wall were dead scav is with key I joked ohh its the gooners. I heard a group running at me. I just prepped up leaned on wall ready, but they kinda pushed through and was really hard to see them from my angle so I peaked the otherside but nothing. Kinda went silent but then heard bushes again on right, then boom one comes creeping out of bush total didn't miss 😅 hit my 3rd or 4th head shot. Then I heard running again more towards bridge so I peaked leftside nothing (he already passed from bridgeside) but coming fast right just hard pushing like w key warrior and I shot him in head not clean but way cleaner then first kill lol. I was really messed up at that point and wanted to heal. But new there was a 3rd so was leaning checking going side to side between those 2 buildings. Did little healing. Thought bridge side was good and he would be around that one building we were fighting so sadly left a very open side to push me. He pushed through bushes to my left road/bridgeside looked at me and ran away???? What? But went back to that power generator next to tank there on that pmc extract. I did little surgery and healed up. Then slowly peaked my head up and he was just standing there facing away from me looking menacingly. I just 1 tapped him in the head. Then got the achievement, I was surprised how easy it was. Best blackout ammo and got m61 and few nades and nice lvl 5 rig. But the exp was next lvl. I get like 2.5k to 4k normally. But got almost 21k exp and was a very chill raid only killing a sniper scav in between the goons. 3rd guy took a bit. Not sure if they changed how ai works but haven't been shot through bush in a long time by ai. I really thought gooners would be shooting through all those bushes and the one dude try to run well I was pulling my gun out (healing). I hear Chad's complain about these guys on customs, but I no longer fear them. If it makes anyone feel better I got geared up went back to dorms and got one tapped by scav using 7.62 hp he barrel stuffed me on outside stairs, made 0 noise waiting outside the door i have no idea I litteral just went up them too and im pretty sure ots not a spawn maybe im wrong but im pretty sure its not. All of this is a true story and happened today.

I just go after them on shoreline. I sit way back at night time and take them all out no problem. Also when that one task where we had to go to water treatment I had them spawn there every raid which wasn’t bad either. I just enjoy fighting them on shoreline, woods is my least favorite for them.

Shoreline pve is just mental, ive had so many wacked moments its crazy, ive been on pier inside house looting cabinets and safes and suddenly i hear breathing and my boi Knight comes walking in, or had a situation where i was fighting Sanitar at Sanatoriom and ive had to walk to the side closest to radio station to heal up not giving Goons a single thought in that moment, only for Goons to come into Sanatoriom hunting me down, ive had a raid where i was spawned by radio station i popped sj6 and melodonin and ran being shot getting to ridge along sanatorim only for goons to catch up to me in the village, ive no problem W keying in pvp and rat w/e, but this is just unfair on a different level, on pvp u have other pmcs taking aggro/killing things and doing stuff. in pve u can have 30+ scav kills 10+ PMC kills and 2 different bosses because Goons dont give a fuck and push through the map if they just catch a glimt of u. pvp is so much easyier in that players wont see you through bushes and beam u instantly through them, or if you just enter thier line of sight insta kill u, try going on top of buildings thats fun.... AI PMCs are like rogues and thats the problem, they are easy to deal with if you know they are there inside buildings etc, but if u have no idea and run in thier general area u just die. armor does not do much since they will allways aim for the least protected body part. i can only play PVE at night raids because that atleast nerfs thier aggro range alot.

If you're on solo PVE, they have a 100% spawn chance on whatever map they spawn on. So if on Shoreline, Customs, Woods, or Lighthouse... be wary of their spawn locations. You will be spotted, silenced shot at, and chased.

@@nickgonzalez7114 As far as I know... Bosses are enabled 100% to allow AI PMCs to be in affect. Unless you do the No AI glitch, you will always be experiencing bosses, therefore on reserve you will always run into Gluhar, for example. The Goons count as bosses, and will spawn always(on the four maps), unless you play coop, or scav. I use to use PVE Goon Tracker, prior to the Solo PVE changes. Now it's unusable, since you always know they will spawn. It even says on the site, that it is reported that they are 100% on solo. In coop and scavs, it still functions as online does, with them rotating every so often. In which case, if me and my friend find the goons in coop on lighthouse, we report it to goon tracker and you and your friend know they are on lighthouse. If you go in solo, you will always see them on lighthouse.

I killed Goons in Custom with Pistol, M882 bullets. similar tactic with you, but I drag distance between every kills cause they will hunt once their teammate down.

What’s your spot if you spawn by old gas? Do you rotate all the way around to this wall? Or just find another wall of some sort like this?

you can go next to old gas and lob a nade and they usually rush you through the gate to the railway track area so you can do the same there

@@NutshellExperience I've used this method before by accident. Spawned by the giving tree, walked towards the train cars and got instantly lit up by one of the Goons. I fell back behind the gate and just waited for them to push. It's BS that they can shoot at you half way across the map and through 5 bushes. BSG needs to tune their agro range down to like 100-200m. Walking anywhere near the weather station on Shoreline is a gamble as once they start shooting at you (if you don't have PK's) your dead. There is nowhere really safe to post up and take them on if you're out in the open.

Do the goons have a 100% spawn rate on all maps in pve mode? it seems like it, i have yet to have a single raid where i havent been able to find them. most notably shoreline, its actually really annoying that beginning quest at the weather station feel impossible as i dont have access to any of the guns or rounds people descripe needing to take them out, doing everything i can with m855 bought from the flea but i just get lasered.

Bro glad I am not the only one who got attacked right there in RU exit . I was snipping off the power gen by the wall into fortress got a few pmcs trying to cap the scavs there then I heard deep running behind the wall then fucking knight just coming spraying the fuck out of the genny . I fell down behind it and got all three . I was ready for them since they went into two story dorms the last game and got me there trying to snip out a window thinking rashala was there . They came into dorms two and went to room 204-5 and fucking unloaded into the room :(

I normally don't have an issue with them on woods as long as I fight them in the tent at USEC camp. Knight and Big Pipe just bot walk into headshots and then I wait for Birdeye. That worked really well for me until Birdeye decided he wanted to bait me for 22 mf minutes. Man hid in the trees next to convoy and I had to push tree to tree to get him.

I killed all three of them at skeleton with an SVD on a customs night raid. Knight pushed but I think he bugged out and was spinning and shooting the ground birdeye never fired a shot even though he was looking right at me the whole time. Big pipe is the only one that shot me

I have just 2 things to say about this guide: AS VAL is a really annoying gun to farm the Goons. Not enough dmg, travel speed is ass and will affect you more than you think, even in Customs. The only weapons that make the fight easy are guns that can fire 7.62x51 M80 and SIG 6.8x51 FMJ. I've killed them several times without reloading because they all rushed in at the same time, and out of the 5 guns able to do that, the only 2 that are trully viable are the SPEAR and the MDR. The other thing is to do it at night. They literally can't see you at night. I've sniped them from not that far away WAY too many times. Oh and I've killed them over 100 times so I know what I'm talking about.

I farm them with an MP7 and subsonic lol. This guy's guide works fine, but I prefer to do it by opening the second story of the portable bunkhouse and lobbing a nade from there. 9/10 times, they'll only push you one at a time from there, and you always get a peak on their head. No need for high end gear or ammo, really.

@@AJ-jo2ub I'm trying to fit both insomnia and stray dogs( only knight left) together, but audio changes at wipe .15 give me great difficulty spotting them with sound and apparently im as blind as i can be. Do you have any tips when i advance towards stronghold from either old gas or skeleton? Somehow knight is evading me and big pipe keeps blowing me up and at most i trade with him. I push into stronghold and get a fight with an ai pmc, who was apparently chilling above/ next to them, then get 3rd partied by the goons.( this has happened multiple times now)

AS VAL nerfed, basically a jam-o-matic and will malfunction before the second mag is dumped (look at the intro in the vid, his VAL jams and he dies because of it). The SR-3M on the otherhand, with or with the suppressor, is a meta gun this wipe.

I have more success with Goons on Woods near USEC camp. There are a couple of spots you can take them down one by one running at you. The only problem is Birdeye, this sneaky ninja sniper is giving me hard time 😅

Ok.. i have a problem that happened twice already, killed Knight and Big Pipe but couldnt find Birdeye at all.. one raid i spend over 30 minutes looking for him, is it possible its bugged? Where the hell is that bastard. Really hard to complete Stray Dogs.

In customs if I've killed Knight and Pipe I typically find Birdeye in Fortress.

He is always further back or trying to flank. Try throwing nades to hear his voice lines. Also, try to agro them in mechanical on custom. Even BirdEye will oftzn rush you in there which makes it really easy

Yea goons everywhere is easy but What about Big pipe in shoreline who beam you from tower with no scope 300m+ away while the 2 other go up and down the stairs yea impossible to reach the tower in pve and it's 100% spawn rate here...... if you don't spawn east or north of the map you're dead 9out of 10 time because they can spot you over 600m away on the west or south side of the map ...and if you need to go there it's rng luck running behind trees.

If you spawn road to custom w key to the new areas gl and light up weather I've killed bird eye 3 or 4 times. To fight the goons. Gotten knight once with bird eye aswell. But knight and big pip will w key out there to you.
