I read that it was Frank's decision to leave, he didn't want to continue playing Nick for fear of only being cast in that sort of role, he's young and wanted to experience different characters, but I thought he was The best part of FEAR

He signed up for season 4 and with the wild change in direction, he said himself that he was done with the character, as in his eyes there was no more arc to fulfill. So we can only deduce that he saw the script and the massive overhaul of the series then left because it wasn’t the show it once was. I love Fear but man, there were just so many balls that were dropped, it’s frustrating to think of how much potential was lost due to AMC being so out of touch with what made the series great to begin with.

He looks like he has a hard time with interviews. He's tugging on his pants, he's fidgeting like crazy. He's super anxious. Great explanation of the character though. Him dying on the show was a big thing for me. He was my favorite character, I hated that they killed him off. I was excited for Morgan to be there but when they killed Nick off, it just killed everything for me.

I didn't realise Frank Dillane played Tom Riddle in a couple of the Harry Potter films & I loved him as Nick too. Frank is now in a brilliant TV series in the UK called Joan & even though he's older now since FTWD, I didnt recognise him at first because he gets into the character so well & he's a very talented actor.

I was about to say that! He (Frank Dillane) played him in The Half-Blood Prince. Christian Coulson played Young Tom Riddle in The Chamber of Secrets. Hero Fiennes Tiffin played eleven-year-old Tom Riddle (in The Half-Blood Prince, as well).

Seasons 1-3 with Dave Erickson as the writer is the true fear. Anything last season 3 is fake and Frank saw that and left. Smartest choice he could have made. Look how the show turned out. A shell of its former rawness
