I feel like Joey Sturgis has honestly inspired a lot of home recording studios. From watching old videos of Attack Attack! etc. And now look at him! It really looks like his hard work has paid off, and has become a great producer. Thumbs up to that man!

One of the best and I'm 34... I love how they have the melodies of pop-punk, but holy shit... The break-downs are amazing and the way Bert goes from Pop-Punk vocals to some of the hard ass Corey Taylor style vocals... I had a chance to meet Bert last summer and the first thing I said to him was "HOW THE FUCK DO YOU DO THAT WITH YOUR VOICE?!?!?" His reply was... "What do you mean?"..

a lot of bands only record with a couple of members, usually the ones that write the main parts, and im guessing eric does that, every guitarist can also play bass so there is no point using the bassists time to come in. Deez Nuts frontman JJ Peters records all the parts for there albums on his own cus he can play all the instruments. It also means most of the recording royalties go directly to him, and not so much to the other members.

it's the same concept with less/thicker strings. the only thing it takes to get used is using your fingers, but a lot of bassists use picks anyway.

depends what you mean by "playing bass". Finding the notes on the bass fretboard is immediate when you already play the guitar, but the right-hand techniques have nothing in common.

If he was the one of the best of all time he would be having bands from across all genres wanting to work with him. Hes a great producer of heavy music. TDWP and WCAR went to different producers so obviously there was something they didnt like. Just saying

when you are in the process of making an album every idea can be usefull but not always the whole band is in the studio, sometimes even the drummers or singers record de guitars or basses so then the main players can record them again later. Being a guitarrist doesnt mean that you cant play bass or vice versa

That cd lacked the production and style joey made them known for really.. Adam D does not really compliment this style of music quite like David Bendeth does. As for Joey as a producer and mixer he was definitely the right choice considering not alot of people across the water don't even know who they are. just like Asking Alexandria. Even Joey himself did not think that band would go anywhere.

The thing is, CNCC aren't supposed to be a heavy band with pop-punk influence. They're supposed to be a pop-punk band WITH heavy influence. Not to say that they don't have their heavy songs. But if you look at their first album, it's pretty much 75% pop-punk, with 2 songs being primarily heavy/minor. I'd rather them be like that if I'm honest, than see them turn into another shitty clone of some of the metalcore bands everyone seems to be signing these days!

No, im sure hes not kidding. if you can play guitar then you AT LEAST know your way around the strings. You may not know any of the different techniques used for playing bass. But if you play guitar then yes you can easily play any "simplistic" song on bass.
