Many times I've wished I'd come to a youtube video and see others who enjoy the content discussing it such as song meanings, video explanations, constructive discussions, etc. Like lyrics for example. I would love to hear other peoples interpretations of the lyrics and most importantly what the bands inspirations were behind the lyrics etc. But no, instead youtube is littered with immature people who took trolling beyond what is funny. Now we're left with a great platform for video sharing with no where to discuss the videos we enjoy watching. I don’t know if you’ve heard of them, they were big when I was in highschool and I would say different from MiW, more emo. But I saw they were coming to a city an hour away from me and I decided to just do it. I bought a ticket for a friend of mine because I was really really terrified of going by myself (like you prolly know from a very young age my parents were telling me about how I could get kidnapped and killed and crap like that, but they never told me or made me feel like there were things I could do to keep me safe and they wondered why I didn’t like the leave the house??? So I felt like having a guy friend I knew from highschool come with me would hopefully keep me safe than going alone. Girl I was a NERVOUS WRECK!! haha That is freaking AWESOME you got to meet him!! Man!! Their Infamous album really got me through the BS that my parents tried putting me through. I really related with the anger that Chris has when sings his songs. I felt so angry back then man (I still do sometimes!!)! I didn’t get to get fully away from my parents (well my mom anyway cuz my dad ended up passing 2015) until I was about 23, cuz I was staying with my fiancé’s parents but they were basically like mine but about different things. I feel like only in the last so many years do I finally feel like “I’m allowed to be an adult” lol I’ve been wanting to dye my hair purple cuz they never let me when I was growing up and I still have that.. I dunno fear of wanting to be who I am. It sucks, I got like four boxes of dye and a bleach box and I tell myself one of these days I’m gonna do it 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️
