So who else thinks the reason Fearne tucked the coin away as quickly as she did wasn’t just because of her kleptomaniac tendencies, but rather because she lied about the result of the flip? If whatever means to potentially bring Laudna back either in the near or distant future doesn’t work, I can imagine that she would slowly let the guilt consume her whole before ever revealing that to Imogen, let alone anyone else in the group.

That could be. Shes super chaotic but ultra sensitive on the inside plus she was way to closer to Orym. If this is true she will eventually cave in. Damn, so much tasty tasty drama lol

I think it makes a lot of narrative sense in this moment. We all know the logic that the result of a coin flip tells you what you wanted more, and I think it’s very possible that Fearne would flip a coin, get Laudna and still choose Orym because at heart, she always wanted to save her fellow Crown Keeper. Also plays delightfully into my suspicion that Marisha, who seemed quite cheerful for her character literally being left to die, secretly bc wants it as part of her overarching story with Delilah. I think Delilah is going to use this when Laudna comes back (bc I’m sure she will) to try and turn her against the Hells.

@@hkazu63 when FCG cast his spell on the dead Laudna Matt said that it did more then what the spell set out to do as if protecting Laudna from full death as well as I AM GUESSING Protected her now super corpse from being taken over by Delilah as part of the Warlock Pact

I did wonder if she maybe lied about who the coin flip chose. But also it’s obvious Fearne didn’t want to have to choose who lived and who died so either way she would’ve been devastated to have to let someone go.

I'm really certain that Fearn chose Orym on her own accord, regardless of the Coin. It kind of fits her character and she cares a lot more about Orym than Laudna. I hope that this will be revealed at some point in the future if that is the case or not!

I am pretty sure that Fearne lied there and that is why she hates the Changebringer. The coin told Laudna but she went for Orym nevertheless.

yeah he is her boy, plus orym is like a fucked up unhealthy safe mechanism for half of the group, if hes dead there's no one for them to project their parental instincts onto

Oddly enough, they made the right choice. Orym was the one who had the connections to get Laudna to Pike. If they had brought back Laudna, Orym may have been lost forever. On the other hand, Orym would have been much better off staying dead than Laudna. He would have been with his husband and dad again. Laudna was trapped in her own personal hellscape by Delilah. I hate to think of her being stuck there forever

Fearne hated having to pick who lived and who died so even if she faked the result of the coin flip she very clearly wasn’t going to be happy with either result. She definitely was closer to Orym than Laudna but she would’ve still hated having to choose only one person to revive

After the Apogee Solstice ep.51 and how much Orym and his connection with Keyleth play a part I wonder how much Avandra played a part in making the path. This is a point of divergence. I wonder if it will be revealed that the Changebringer was the one to intervene and split the party, teleporting them before the loss of magic and placing each group of Bells Hells where they would make the most impact going forward.

When I initially watched this, I just said to myself 'that is the most cop out decision making in the history of decision making ever'. Which reminds me, I need to look at the discussion episodes and see the thought process on how this was done, because the only way I'd respect Ashley on this decision is if this was entirely an IC thing.

The theory that Fearne lied... I honestly think this is one of the very few situations where this is pre-determind. Marisha hade some reason not to play for a while, though I have idea why.

I’ll be honest I disliked Fearne a bit in this scene. As much as she has gotten to know Laudna over the past few weeks Fearne already has a connection with Orym. The fact it was such a debate with her kinda rubbed me the wrong way.

I think no small part of it was knowing how much Laudna meant to Imogen. She was in an impossible situation.
