I’ve used feather sticks for years, but I like the idea of scraping some dust at the leading edge of the feather stick. Thanks 🔪🎸

Brilliant and clear as always. I'm messy and drop curls all the time so put a handy cloth I carry down to make them easier to pick up. Lazier than gathering each one by hand.

What is the brand of your jacket & hat? They both look awesome and practical to boot! That or you just make them look BA lol. Would love to see your opinion & over view on bushcraft outerwear in general.

Thank you Ben. Outerwear is a video I have been meaning to make for awhile. I mainly share those bits on my facebook page. I am a outdoor clothing nerd so I struggle to condence it haha. The jacket and pants are from Sasta. The jacket is discontinued so its on sale all over the place www.fjellsport.no/merker/sasta/sasta-mehto-hybrid-jacket-dark-olive

@@inforestsandlands It's in the finishing touches of the build now, so I'm still waiting to get it. Steve sent an update pic of the handle to make sure I liked the material and that's the last I've heard. I'm keeping my fingers crossed I get the "it's done" email any day now.

great tutorial man! Talkin of the belly, have you used the Eldris for this kind of thing before?
@inforestsandlands
@inforestsandlands Жыл бұрын
Thanks ! I have used the Eldris for many years when I worked for Mora. It will get it done in a pinch but I find it a lot easier when you have a bit more blade to work with. Not because the Eldris isnt a great blade but its hard to get torque on such a little knife.

@@inforestsandlands thanks for the detailed explanation! Guess the length really helps elongate the curls with the slicing action. Keep up the great work.

_Curls do indeed get girls but that's a different story! Lol i wasn't sat down and taught to make feathersticks but the tips and tricks add to the obvious (keep away from the triiiangle of DEEEATH!) I don't even need feathersticks in my life but I caught up with an old pal who was a SF Marine recently and he was kind of impressed with my survival knowledge. I guess I talk a good survival situation. 😂🤣As always, thanks for your knowledge_
