This should absolutely be replicated throughout the Philippines. We have so much unused coastline. Oysters are in high demand, expensive, can be exported, does not require much space, does not require care at all, aside from the hatchery. We desperately need large-scale exportable products. Things we are abundant with and we can be proud of.

exactly but different political leaders different agendas,,,middle 80's and through the early 90's aquaculture exports specially prawn where I was very involved in was one of the core business transaction with foreign countries of Cory Aquino like Japan and France and US,,mostly Japan,,but at the cahnge of leadershipt to Ramos whos core voters were city people and city businesses,,real estate development was his core,,so thats why

"This should absolutely be replicated throughout the Philippines, We have so much unused coastline" - In remote provinces where waters are pristine, YES! In populated coastal areas? - A definite NO! As a nation, we don't have a proper sewage system.

Hopefully positive yung outcome 🙏🏻🫶🏻 If positive, we would like to add more .. Any suggestions po kung saan kami pwedeng makakuha ng kaalaman sa pag grow ng oysters please let me know po or seminars po na pwede kaming mag attend . At the moment po ay from KZbin research lang po yung ideas na ginawa namin 🥰

I grew up from Iloilo, near the beach. Later I learned it takes a year for oysters to grow and to be harvest. But it seems, their is no oyster season in Iloilo. We even eat oysters after midnight. We have two types of oysters the Talaba and Sisi. The oysters shown are big but not fat, like the ones I've been eating here in the US. A fat and healthy oyster meat should be 80-90% of the shell. The oysters they are showing are big shells, but the meat is only 60-70% of the shell. It's an acquired taste. The chef got use eating the same shit in the US. That becomes his taste bud.

Unfortunately, oysters in Bacolod are twice as expensive as those in Capiz and Iloilo, where they are mostly imported from. I once ate oysters, called talabalocally, at a talabahan across the Burgos market at Burgos street. The small plastic bowl cost me 80pesos, twice expensive than in Iloilo and Capiz.

For me seafood of the Philippines now isn't amazing at all.. cuz there's no control. Unlike to other countries, they respect sizes. They just dnt harvest unacceptable size, there's eye on you or none, they put seafood back to the water. That's why having seafood on the table now is gold. Much expensive when they're huge and perfect in size. Just sad.
