I watch this channel 70% for the sarcasm and 30% for the cinematography breakdowns 😂

Amazing as usual. Would love to see a vid on high end doco interview lighting. Masterclass, Chef's Table etc. Thanks!

Don`t listen to the intro complainer below, the intros are great, keep up the great work! And the sarcasm and humor are awesome!

I think they framed the woman in this way , so it can be felt that she is not okey, and almost at the edge

I watched this film when it was first released and found the cinematography really distracting. I actually laughed out loud and certain things in the first half hour.

I really liked the cinematography when I saw it. It felt very intentional

That indoor wide shot reminds me of Sex Education. My gf watched it lately and I was fascinated by the look of it or more so that someone decided it was okay to look like this. So much chromatic aberation and blurry edges it's insane. So I looked up what they shot it on and turns out it was all on Master Primes and they did that look in post...

What an odd choice! Pick probably *the* most clinical lens then dirty it up. Interesting

@@althenimble Yeah, I was honestly a bit disappointed. I mean I get the idea that you shoot a super clean image and can do whatever you want with it but my approach would be to shoot on vintage glass if I wanted that look..

More flexible and 'safer' to have the option to 'dirty' a clean image in post - more work of course... @@MaxKissler

i love this channel and all the knowledge he shares but lately the videos/films he's been reviewing haven't been my cup of tea. I like when he selected the modern commercials with the more modern stylizing/lighting setups and did breakdowns. To each their own. Still appreciate he's giving us free knowledge and sharing his expertise.

I don’t ever find much value in the intros so I just skip past them most of the time
