I met Sd. Gurbakhsh Singh in Preet Nagar after 65 war. Also met Sd. Darshan Singh its publisher because his father Sd. Kapoor Singh was in UP , manager of our school. I was regular reader of Preet Lari and novels of Nanak Singh, Travelogue of Balraj Sahni. Short height, shining face,and white flowing beard, great.

He was an idealist with a very emotional leaning towards working classes.USA is capitalist and Russia socialist so he had leaning towards Russia but he stood for poor and struggling masses of India.His philosophy about love was very positive and inspiring.He is a Gem of Punjabi literature who inspired a whole generation.

Outstanding feature presentation. I remember in 1970-73 my father had subscribed to Preet Lari. He used to read from the publication, as well as from novels of Nanak Singh. Very fond memories. Now, late in life, my love for my "ma-boli" has re-kindled, and I think there's nothing as beautiful as chaste Punjabi! Trying to read literature, slow going, but I'll catch up!

Through his writings he entered my heart and Preet Bhupinder singh veerjee from USA had introduced him in my life - - I loved his usage of words in Punjabi language and eventually fell in love with my Maa-Boli Punjabi through him and heard the same way from Bhupinder veerjee as he was the one who could use the same tone of the sehej Punjabi writings of Daarjee--great contribution to Punjabi literature 🙏🙏🌷🌷
