Although this SHINee World 2018: The Best From Now On concert -- which was the first concert SHINee held after Jonghyun's death -- is extremely sad, I also enjoy watching it every time because it makes me feel like this is the one time where all Shawols are able to come together with SHINee and actually collectively support, grieve and celebrate together. This concert was the event that makes me feel the closest to the members and fans from all over the world because we are feeling these emotions together. It's super emotional, but it also shows just how important Shawols are to SHINee, and even though everyone, including the members, pretty much cried throughout the show, it was a great moment of catharsis for all of us because it gave us an opportunity to grieve all together. Jonghyun will always be present in everything they do. This concert was held only about 2 months after he died, but it had been planned for months prior to that, so the concert was sold out. Even through their grief the members didn't want to let the fans down and they decided they would continue the concert as planned. I like to think of it as more of a memorial and celebration than a concert. Yes, the part where you saw Minho looking at Jonghyun's mic stand was particularly emotional because the voice you heard singing during that part of the song was Jonghyun's voice. And at the end, right after Onew's part, that epic high note was also Jonghyun's voice and the very last line was sung by him as well. This was originally a song sung by all 5 of the members. So, as part of the tribute to Jonghyun, they had him perform his part of the song. The haunting part is that this song was recorded long before Jonghyun died -- it originally was meant to be a fan tribute song celebrating the connection between SHINee and Shawols -- but now after everything that has happened, it has taken on a whole new meaning and importance. And the lyrics couldn't be more beautiful and fitting for the message they are trying to give. This is why we love SHINee so much. Because they had been planning this concert for a long time before Jonghyun's death, everything was prepared with all five of them involved, so they had to go back and rework everything and learn how to do everything they would normally do without him. I am always impressed, because even though they were all super emotional, they were able to still sing so beautifully and were able to put on such a magnificent performance. And on top of all that, this concert was held in Japan, so this song -- as well as most of the songs in the concert -- was in Japanese, so they weren't even singing in their native language. (As you know, the members of SHINee are fluent in Japanese, but even then I think it would make it even more challenging.) They deserve all the respect and admiration that they get. The members all vowed that SHINee will always be 5 and that Jonghyun will always be involved in everything they do. And during the concert when they performed the choreo for some of their most iconic songs they intentionally left Jonghyun's spot open and only filled in for him when something just wouldn't work without someone in that position. I think we are always going to have reminders of him in all that SHINee does from now on, and that is the way it should be. He was loved and will never be forgotten, and when possible, should always be involved in things that have to do with SHINee. We have been through a lot in the past 4+ years. But I think SHINee and Shawols have only become stronger and more tightly bonded through it all. It's Jonghyun's legacy that keeps us strong and has taught us all to be resilient. You did well Jonghyun, our precious angel. You did well and will never be forgotten. OT5 forever and ever. As you saw, the one who really broke down in the end was Onew -- the leader -- which says a lot because Onew very rarely shows his emotion and he is usually the strong rock of the group that is the one to comfort the other members whenever they cry.

I think is ok to watch this and hurt, or not wanting to watch it, I think it was part of other memebers process and they were really open and brave to share it. I belive we should remember Jonghyun and keep following SHINee celebrating life and how good they were and they are and all the quality music the gave and keep giving us as present

Literally just clicked on this video, and just as soon as i heard the singing, i just started getting emotional. Every time i watch this stage or listen to this song on my playlist, i keep getting emotional. Its hard for me even to this day, even after watching it like 100 times, every time its still hard for me to watch the stage without tearing up. Jonghyun was my bias in Shinee, his singing was so powerful and had so much soul in it. RIP Jonghyun

I remember when I got into kpop in 2017 ( my last year in college) and i got into exo and shinee first and i fell hard for jonghyun and the more i got to know more about him and see his talent and personality it was over for me. I started falling more and more into the rabbit hole. I listen to moon every night to fall asleep and watch shinee and jonghyun snl skits to make me feel better after exams. Then we lost him. I cried all day. I didn't even know why i was crying I had just gotten into kpop and new the world of it. Why am i crying like I lost a family member and then i realize he felt like family to me all of shinee did. When artist say that their hear that their music helps people through difficult times and watching their content makes you feel comforted in hard times, it was like a family and we did lose a family member but he is still with us always through his videos and songs.

I was a fan of shinee with jjong as my ult bias since my high school days, which was like 10 years ago omg. When he passed, i just couldn’t listen to shinee for about 2 years, i even strayed away frm kpop for a while because it was strangely painful for me to listen or consume any kpop content. Fortunately, it’s better now and am still supporting shinee, but damn if it was that tough for fans like me, imagine how hard it mustve been for the members, jjong’s family and his friends :((

This was tough. Even as a baby shawol, tough af. We all have that moment when, if I could've done this, would things have been different? Thing is, we'll never know. As a fan who got into SHINee late, I had to love them as 5 but I also had to deal with the loss. It drove me crazy. Then i keep hearing words from Jonghyun saying, rather than to understand, we just acknowledge or accept things as they are...

Jonghyun's departing letter tells us his feelings. It's sad. It's really sad, but as someone who struggled and continues to struggle with finding purpose in living and has contemplated suicide in the past, it's really cruel that the world took Jonghyun from us. Jonghyun chose to leave us. I don't believe in god, but I hope he is resting. I know there's nothing after death except that which came before it, but I would like to believe Jonghyun still exists. He exists in our memories, smiling, shining, crying, but no longer suffering because he chose not to show us that side of himself.

I still remember when my sister came & told me this has happened.... I was shocked i continuously asked her to double check it.... May be it's some other jonghyun not shinee jonghyun... May be it's a rumour.... I grabbed my phone & the news was everywhere.... My head still hurts while i am writing this.... oh i hate recalling the events that followed afterwards..... Always saw him through a screen never in person but the pain we feel is immense...

@@AKATSUKIROBES as SHINee said themselves “my feelings aren’t for decoration”. If people want to watch the performance and concert for themselves that’s fine but “fans” requesting a filmed reaction of a deeply personal moment of pure grief of a group they claim to love? It feels perverse.

@@smilexlovexlive I see your point, but I think for some people sharing grief is a way of dealing and processing better. I don't get requesting a reaction like this from a reactor who doesn't know or just discovered Shinee, but reactors who already know what's up and appreciate/love Shinee, I get it. Remember that many kpop fans don't have real life kpop friends who can be sad with them over a watching a stage like this.
