These chickens are very happy. I kept our own small flock for years and know how much hard work it is to provide chickens fresh grass the majority of the day, week in week out! Great overview and love the section overhead, would be great to even get any additional input on the cycle of things from overhead perspective.

Came here from the swimming pond video and I just love your whole vibe so I subscribed. I have many of the same breeds of chickens as you do. Very nice set up. I'm in Oregon and i am on a .20 acre lot but I have my backyard set up similar to you as far as having my chickens compost my garden scraps/trimmings/weeds etc.. I like how you have the wood rounds surrounding your plant root systems. I might have to steal that ladder idea to make my compost heap taller. What I do now to stop them from digging away at the sides is lay big pieces of cardboard on the sides and then put some heavy bricks on top.. it does a good job at keeping the heat in too (it's very temperate in Oregon where I live) and it also gives cover to the worms so they have a chance to multiply before being eaten. Seeing your ladies run with the grubs made my smile. I am very quickly loving your channel. Thank you for putting this on the internet.

Charming set-up for the hens! Plenty of busywork for them. I have various containers of water, but never considered a shallow pond area…nice! 👍🏻 Chickens love catching frogs 🤣 Great way to work the compost as well. I enjoyed seeing your system, thank you for the video!

If you move the compost away from the chicken and add used coffee grinds to it it will develop this mycelium thick web and after that white mold dies it will add insane amounts of nutrients to the soil. So you can recycle your coffee grind to ultra rich the final soil but dont let the chickens play in the mold. All that white mold is making tons and tons of nutrients and only use it after the mold dies. You should do a small test for flowers or something and make a small ultra rich compost test. I did this and my dying house plants all become extremely healthy and return to vigorous with no chemical fertilizer.

i always wanted to have a chicken coop and chicken. but i didn't have so i have you-tube videos to get satisfied and happy while learning new thing about chicken coop. add more chicken breeds and hatch chicken eggs it is so much fun to watch hatching process and small chicks roaming behind their mother. you done a great job love from india
