1981. Reaganomics. Assassinations (Sadat and the attempt on Reagan). The Washington page scandal. The air traffic controller strike. Yet I remember lots of people believing that everything was just hunky dory. 1981 was not a good year by any stretch of the imagination. Cute & bouncy commercials here, though. Thanks, I guess.
