It depends on what we mean by 'reasons'. There are all kinds of reasons- rational, psychological, sociological, cultural etc. Not all 'reasons' are linear. There's cause/effect.......that's about it. We take action (cause) and there are effects (results). As far as reasons go it's cause/effect and we are in control of our choices/causes to a point...........

I agree, and I am absolutely with you on this. However, I do remember 30 years ago when I was homeless with 2 kids. I needed money, a job, and stability. The three of us made it through. There was a time that the three of us had to focus on survival rather than on "what money can't buy." I guess we might feel that we are "lucky" because we have seen things from both sides. I dunno.....easy to say it is important to focus on love, family and community when you have a roof over your head and your belly is full. Not judging, just saying....OK?

Definitely feel the strong sense of "something''s coming," accompanied by a constant drip of adrenaline. It feels as though we're all about to go on vacation. Like anything we're doing now doesn't really matter because our structures (daily, routine, etc) are about to give way and we're all about to be let loose.

This is almost exactly how I've been feeling, though it doesn't feel like an impending vacation. More like a rug pull. I'm unemployed and the IRS wants more money from me than I could make in a year, and even though I wake up with mild panic attacks (which I've never had before) it also feels like none of it matters. I also lost all three cats in the past 16 months, several friends and family members too. It's too much.

Yes, this really kills me because I am 62 and grew up under Nixon who was a Californian and created the EPA coastal commission. Like the fires in LA where I live they happen all the time and it’s low chaparral. It’s actually designed by mother nature to burn and then just comes back. The birds fly away and come back. It’s no big deal. But when you build houses in small streets, that’s what happens. There wasn’t even a water shortage. It’s all about pumping and the size of pipe. I would know because I’m a pool man and I’ve worked there. Anyways, enough for the civic lesson peace out.
