I have been toying with the idea of re-reading Sorcery of Thorns before diving into the new novella, because it's such a comfort read! You definitely got me more excited for that, happy to hear you had so much fun with those stories! And I've been meaning to get to the Regency Faerie Tales for sooo long, they just sound utterly delightful! Great wrap-up, loved hearing your thoughts on all of these! 🥰

I LOVED volume 1 of Sleepless and I need to finish the series! I am SO RELIEVED you liked the Regency Faerie Tales lol. Yes, I love that it's cozy romance + RIGHTEOUS ANGER!! lol. And I thought you would especially like Longshadow!! As you know I am also so happy your mom loved the series! 🥰

I always feel the same way when I start a new job. I pretty much put aside a month of adjustment when I know I'm not gonna do anything except work. I hope you're feeling all settled in now :)

I’m currently listening to Sorcery of Thorns because I also heard that Howl’s Moving Castle comparison which I will always jump on 😂. The Half a Soul books sound like fun! Your descriptions make me think they’d be similar to Sorcery & Cecelia, and with A Marvellous Light.

Do you think the Howl's Moving Castle comparison is accurate? I haven't heard of those two, I'll have to look them up!

@@badgerreads So far I tend to agree with you about the HMC comparison… i sorta see it but only because it was pointed out. Sorcery and Cecelia is fun because it’s epistolary and if I’m not mistaken the 2 authors wrote it back and forth to each other as a game without much advance planning.

I also wrote off Margaret Rogerson after being disappointed by An Enchantment of Ravens. DNFed it and was totally uninterested in anything else she wrote. But after watching this I’m wondering if I should give her a second chance 🤔
