This interest rate cut leaves me pondering what stocks to buy now and when do I sell? I'm unsure how to properly allocate my money to achieve an optimal portfolio in this present economy, my goal is $3m for retirement.

No doubt, getting proper financial advice is invaluable, my portfolio is well-matched for every season of the market and just yielded 120% from early last year. I and my advisor are working on a 7 figure ballpark goal, though this could take another year.

Kathleen sure knows her onions in this industry, from her intimidating profile which I went through, on her web home page. I started off last year tailoring a colleague's tradin strategies but it didn't pan out well. Hopeful that Kathleen will attend to my message.

I've been an investor in Apple because I strongly believe in the company. I've always believed in the stock, but now I don't know whether to re-distribute my portfolio and put some money in Nvidia. especially now that we are experiencing a market correction
@emilyclark-m2g
@emilyclark-m2g Ай бұрын
Both stocks have a long term potential, The most important thing is the ratio of the distribution based on the financials of each company. There are many other companies that are also doing well. You could just hire a financial advisor to guide you. A financial advisor really does help me do the distribution even between different asset classes. I don't even understand technical financial terms much. I just know I make really good profit, and I don't have to stress myself a lot.

No. He didn't think the FED should cut at all, though he thought it would be 25bps. He has not been a believer in an upcoming recession. He has been impressed by gains in productivity and admits a credit crunch was prevented last year (during the Silicon Valley Bank affair) by rapid FED Reserve bank intervention. No one is 100% clairvoyant, but his vision has been remarkably clear over the past 25 years. I always turn up the volume when he appears on-screen. Best wishes!

No, in fact he didn't think the Fed needed to do anything to support the economy and I agree with him.

do you understand what "melt up" means? It basically means all the bears give up and every last buyer ends up in the market and there's no value left...and maybe very little buying power. I don't know why Yardeni is saying he doesn't expect a bear market. Even if there is no recession, that's not needed for a bear market.

@@parttimephilosopher7097 who gives a F... look at a long-run chart of S&P 500 and do u notice a 'trend'? seems like it only ever goes up right over time right?
@parttimephilosopher7097

@@illegalsmirf No...not right. After the peak in 1929 it took the DJIA about 25 years to recover. In Japan it took over 30 years after the peak at the end of 1989. At the end of the Nifty 50 bubble it took over 15 years to recover. After the peak in 2000 it took the NASDAQ 4 years to fall about 80% before starting the recovery. Did the US have $35 trillion in debt at any of these times? What about the Chinese disaster? The point is simple...there are times when the valuation is so extreme the market is far more risk than reward. If the market rallies another 10% before Christmas and hits 220% of GDP I will simply sell most of my US shares.

@@parttimephilosopher7097 oh right, well that is why you average in instead of laying out your entire position at once. That way you make money even during periods when the market is struggling to take regain and overtake its previous ATH. I thought that was common knowledge though

A new bull market started with a breakout to new highs Nov 2020. My S&P 500 year end targets are 6118.34 - 6237.28. That's based on weekly technical indicators. I guess no one wants to talk about it because they would have to give Biden some credit for something but fundamentally this run should last at least another 3-5 years maybe 7. We have 3.1 trillion $ of bipartisan fiscal stimulus spending in the pipeline to go through. We've spent less than 20% to date. It should keep this economy humming no matter what the Fed does and in the worst case should act as a safety net against recession.
