Wouldn't call it a cover, more of a re-imagining with all the extra accents and flash. Might as well throw in a Gong accent and some more tom fills and double bass beats. Maybe juggle the drum sticks the whole time you play to really gussy up the routine you know?

While I agree with this in principle, I think it's unreasonable to go without mentioning how incredibly difficult it is to play a decent homage to Stuart Copeland and include any flair at all. Is it a cover? No. Is it technically sound? Yes. Is it stylistically appropriate? No. Is it good in its own right, thus worthy of praise on that level? I'd argue it is, and I believe Copeland himself would agree.
