@@rtjames QI only addresses fact pattern in which the civil rights violation is not clear. It is clear here. It also had NOTHING to do with any criminal allegation. In my state, this could and likely would be filed criminally; I have no idea what crime might exist under Alabama law, so I can't make an assertion.

There have been many cases which follow the fact pattern of a previously established case, only for the judge to whip out a long a butttt 'the cops in that case were right handed and this cop is left handed' shenanigans.

The Police, DA, and local judge in Jerseyville, IL has prosecuted hundreds of false arrests, and IJ did not care. The police killed a kid for holding a Bible on a public sidewalk, lied on reports, got qualified immunity... and IJ did not care. The police burned down the home of Roger Holyfield, killing his brother and niece... IJ did not care. The police set up a bomb threat to search a business... IJ did not care. The police set up a blacked-out police car from Missouri, at night, to kill us... IJ did not care. The police falsified hundreds of police reports... IJ does not care. Jerseyville, IL is now selling permits to take private property for public use... IJ does not care. Who cares? Right?

I am writing my comments from Westmoreland County Pennsylvania, we had a district attorney here who did similar kinds of things to people but not on this scale. The district attorneys and the sheriffs office in many cases are joined at the hip. In this county a man was held in jail for two years on 13 charges and he couldn’t make bail. Nine of those charges were against him for attempted homicide against three police officers three charges for each officer and some other sundry things including possession of an illegal gun. The defense attorney for this man once brought the trial did not call one witness, the defendant did not testify. In less than three hours jury brought back a verdict of not guilty on absolutely every charge. Dirty district attorneys and prosecutors litter the landscape in the United States and judges know about this and don’t do anything because they’re parked and parcel to this. Remember law-enforcement brings them business when they arrest someone. It’s going to cost a lot of money to get this settled and the citizens who are going to have to do the pain should get rid of these individuals that caused the problem.
