i would use the ATI as a backup siren if the 2t22 fails and use the 2t22 if the ATI fails . but still the ATI is an A-nnoying T-one I-nstrument

Well I personally don't have a problem with electronic sirens, as I have been on the receiving end of a Modulator in the Netherlands and a EOWS in Hawaii and God they are loud!!! The Whelens are loud too and most electronic sirens have a good variety of warnings tones. But I have to agree that the ATI is utter RUBBISH; it produces a silly warble which just says "oh run, there's a problem", rather than "GET IN THE F*@!ING SHELTER NOW, DIVE, DIVE, DIVE!!!!" which is what a Siren is supposed to do!

I hate the ATI because it sounds more like a kid outside playing with a whistle, or a police siren. When we had a tornado warning and I heard it, I didn't even notice it, I thuoght it was the whine of the TV or something... I could have died if the tornado came by and i wasn't in my closest, because this crappy siren didn't tell me

In Southern Ontario, there have been a lot of request for Tornado Sirens, I sent in some ideas for a siren we can choose. The ATI did not make it onto my list :D But, I think if we do get a siren, it will be an ATI :s

And they're using these as a "comparable" replacement for the Thunderbolts?? Jeez, even a 2T22 is louder than it is and I think we all know how even it stands up to a Thunderbolt. What a pathetic waste of Taiwanese/Chinese junk. At least the old 2T22 is still kicking and sounds great though!

Whelens, Modulators, EOWS, Thunderbolts, E57s (from Germany), the French air horn sirens, 3T22s, 2T22s and Model 2-5 sirens (plus many more) are great. But as I British patriot, the best siren in the world has to go to the Gents Carter Dual Tone; the sound of WWII air raids :D.
