Federal Signal Valor patterns

This is my Federal Signal Valor lightbar scrolling through the different patterns via a six-button controller.

I think all lightbars should go static amber/blue when vehicles placed in park. "Stutter mode" clear/red or blue for intersections and the "pulse mode/mix" for chase/intercept.

Depending on each state regarding what each department is allow to run color wise but typically, you can set the bars up with a park mode that leaves the front steady burn very similar to the California Highway Patrol's Wheelen Light Bars when the officers put the vehicle in park, the bars utilize the park function to leave the front LED solid.

Can this be used mounted on the roof for my overlander rig as floodlights? Id thought to do something different.

I would double check how wide the top of your vehicle is to make sure. This particular one was installed to a Chevrolet Tahoe and fit perfectly so more than likely. Federal Signal makes the Valor lightbars in 44" and 51" as this model showcased in the video was the 44" model.

Are the hotfeet the exact same modules as those in the bar? I'd been interested in TIR hotfeet.

Federal Signal uses the Solaris Federal Signal’s Solaris LED reflector design is engineered to significantly increase off-axis warning. Now for the leds, they're not technically a module per reflector like you would see on a traditional Whele Liberty lightbar, Federal Signal uses a revolutionary ROC board or Reliable Onboard Circuitry technology. So in a way, they are designed the same.

I heard that you can change the colors on these. We recently picked up a red and blue one and want to change the colors. Is that possible?

It depends on how the lightbar is setup. If the boards are setup with different color LEDs on each board, then you should be able to change the colors also depending on programming.

Super Truckerz 2017 & Drone footage, even with dim mode activated, they are still bright and visible.

What if the front wasn't pointed but flat? Another spotlight module and or oscillator mode?

If the front wasn't pointed and flat, it would be considered more of a linear light bar which Federal Signal does make. Those models include their Integrity, Legend, LPX Discrete, Navigator and their Allegiant Light Bars. Their oscillator style Light Bars fall more into their Vision SLR or the Navigator with the Mixed Style configuration with Rotator style on driver and passenger sides of the light bar.

If we're gonna be more specific. They make a lightbar that is practically a Linear version of the Valor, which is the "Integrity" It uses the same designs, and curves.

Are you trying to cycle through the different patterns to find one you like for mode 1, 2, or 3? If so, you can download the 6-button controller manual on Feral Signal's website if you haven't done so already or don't have a copy on hand.

No problem. Keep in mind the price does go up depending on the options, like if you want the 51" length or the hot feet.

Depending on different options, colors, length, etc, will depend on pricing. Different retailers will have different base pricing for a basic setup depending on their cost. Do your research and shop around. My experience may not be the same as others but my experience was excellent and have purchased more products with Sirennet so be sure to call around and get all your research correct for you.

can u program your own flash patterns or is it pre set only.

GOD, they are pre-set from Federal signal but you can chose which preselection you want displayed. Or another option is you can work with Federal Signal and let them know what you want exactly and they can get that programmed for you to work the way you want. But as far as being able to control exactly what led does what pattern like the Whelen Wecan controllers, not to my knowledge but I'm not 100% positive about that.

rjracing38 ok thanks because in torn between this and a legacy I like whelen cuz u can program patterns on the fly but I like this because u have the spectralux option its a hard choice.

GOD, understood, I was in the same boat but the big thing I liked most with this bar is it comes with a small 6-button controller that I can control everything with or if I wanted to control a siren and my flash patterns all in one controller, I could use the new smart siren platinum controller. I'm currently looking to get one of those because the platinum, federal signal has a program you can download and select different patterns, sirens, etc but the patterns have been pre programmed from Federal signal.

rjracing38 thanks man I appreciate your response it helps alot. I would love to go with the slr but I just dont think its bright enough it has a very narrow window of effectiveness if u know what I mean unless your in direct line of sight it seems ineffective. I think im gonna go with the valor I really like the spectralux feature. Im not sure if your into lightbars but if u are you should check my channel I have quite a few.

GOD, no problem at all. I love collecting light bars and rebuilding them myself and have quite the collection. all the bars I have videos of on my page I still have, I have 3 more in the middle of refurbishments that I haven't shot yet. I love this lightbar mainly because of how wide range the visibility is, from my very first vector to my smart vector, my vision and now this bar, has always had a wide range of view around front, back, and even in the intersection. I will definately check your page and see your collection. Thanks.
