Actually makes perfect sense for those modules to be the torpedo launchers having three forward and three aft facing to appeal launchers on the modules only with no other torpedo launchers and that makes perfect sense because if you think about it the New Orleans is also test betting out a module system that we would later see in the nebula class

You seem to consider some of the ships sharing the design cues of the Galaxy Project (mostly based on nacelle design) as derivatives. I would suggest it's the other way around. The Galaxy is the ultimate culmination of the design line, not the progenitor of it. I do like the idea of the early Freedom class having Ambassador style nacelles. Perhaps those were link betwen the design generations. Keep up the good work.

Well the first batch of Challengers could have easily been sent out with type 7 or type 8 phaser arrays and then they could have also had smaller burst fire Torpedoes not firing the 10-round burst

A freedom could take on a galor and come out on top? Was this same galor version shown in tng or an older one? I find it hard to believe that a freedom class could take on a full battleship, but I could be wrong
