Very nice, I would bet some of those are hybrid elk red stag. Either way, good eating.

Elk in Texas? I didn't know we had free range elk, that's amazing.

@@Outdoorhomesteadlife Yes, they were introduced to Texas probably 100 years ago at the Yo Ranch and in different counties. Kerr, Kimble and Edward Counties. They’ve gotten loose over the years from flooding so they’re free range. We plan to be hunting elk soon. It’s just been to hot. Thanks for your comment God bless.

Yes absolutely will work for deer. I was actually putting it out for the whitetail and the elk showed up. The whitetail did also but I only showed the big ones. Good luck this year👍🏻we appreciate your comments

You have to be real careful with the deer eating it, the molasses's in really hard on their digestive tract and can cause them significant issues, remember a deer is like a cow, it has 4 chambers in its stomach and chews a cud. Horses and mules do not, they eat and don't regurgitate it back up and chew it. Yes, it works, its like giving them crack. It will also pull hogs in from MILES away, they can smell that molasses. Trying putting out roasted soybeans, drives the deer crazy and hogs will not hover it up like other things, hogs don't like beans. They'll eat em but they prefer other stuff, the roasted soybeans really get the deer going and its safer to feed and fewer hogs. Just a suggestio.

@@michaelcope2329 Thank you for your comment. I have used sweet feed to attract deer in hunting season for many years and found that it is a lot less threat to a whitetail deer than than my 3006. These are wild deer not in a pen. I spread it out to attract them. It’s in moderation not a diet of sweet feed. There’s a whole industry selling molasses blocks that doesn’t work as well as sweet feed. I’ve also tried Roasted soybeans and they haven’t worked any better for me than corn. Some areas wouldn’t even eat it. Article (This Pertains to deer farms Not Wild Deer) Is Sweet Feed Good For Deer? Sweet feed can be a good option for deer, as it provides them with essential nutrients. Rich in carbohydrates and proteins, sweet feed can help deer maintain their health and energy levels. Sweet feed should be offered in moderation, as too much can cause digestive issues for deer. It is recommended to mix sweet feed with other types of feed to ensure a balanced diet. Additionally, providing access to natural browse and vegetation is crucial for the overall well-being of deer. Sweet feed can be a beneficial addition to a deer’s diet when used appropriately and in conjunction with other suitable food sources. Used as an attractant it is beneficial with no health issues to wild deer other than an arrow or a bullet. Thank you God Bless
