The best Feeder song imo, I cannot see how anyone could not appreciate a live version of Descend - great performance on this video too.

For me polythene was their true feeder sound . I understand why they had to change it but this album was glorious and beautiful

Jon Lee my ex for 8 years of hell. No one knew him. I did. I flew his body from Miami to Wales to bury him. You know nothing.

I knew this kind of comment would start. SHAME on her !! Andrew ( his older brother ) brought Jon's ,sorry body ,not ash, back to Newport ,Wales ! Please ignore these kinds of comments .Jon was the sweetest man in the world .
@spark_67109 ай бұрын
I predict this about two years ago. What they've been doing are damage controls.I will not respond to this lady ,or anyone coming back to me with comments like this ,or whom behind this . I KNOW who .Like I previously said,I'm done with clearing Jon's name & tinted images on KZbin. I'll keep reminding people of Jon. The real sweet Jon !I won't start any conversation like a tabloid gossip column & circus which they want me to .I got no intention of doing so.

Thanks so much for uploading this. Any videos of the early Feeder era are always great to watch. Bring back so many memories of the music and when they really were at their peak...Echo Park days. Dig the hairstyles. Atleast they didn't play in the orange boiler suits at Reading! Any drummers out there, I got this up on my channel! Thanks EliteGi!

A poor man's Bush/Silverchair hybrid. Good songs. Lot of nostalgia!
Does anyone think that feeder early material has some shoegaze influence as well as there grunge sound?
@clurgee49234 жыл бұрын
yes, and i think it’s pretty cool. i’m a huge fan of shoegaze and i really wish they kept going in that direction. their first couple albums were actually pretty good, but from what i hear they became ‘washed up’. it would’ve been cool if they were up there with slowdive or MBV
@gazeunderthesunmusic4 жыл бұрын
There early material is very similar to Space Rock band Hum, which both Hum and Feeder did support Everclear in 1996 in the UK i do believe

why dont they play this anymore, this is the best ive performance ive seen by them. theyre mainstream hits may be more catchy but this is unmatched by their shows today. i suppose grants voice has changed and their vibe has mellowed considerably since their original drummer's suicide

I definitely would buy any of Jon's kits. I know the kit that he used in this video was up for sale. He had so much talent, a waste of life to be honest.

Apparently the newest version of Descend live (past few months)is the best. I haven't heard it for myself but apparently it has Mark and Grant jamming through the middle. I would love to hear it though, this song is simply sensational live.

Yeah you're right. Silent cry is an amazing album, and it is also my favourite (depending on mood) but it's much more commercial and much softer than their older stuff. After a couple of listens it bores me to death, and the only solution to it is to put up Polythene or Swim. They've gone downwards since YWTS, no way. I agree that 2006 was their best year, the new songs were just amazing. Luckily the songs on the Seven sleepers EP are much heavier and their b-sides are still great and less poppy

its a '67 fender jazzmaster, lol, he also has a silver one, he also sometimes used to use a gibson SG

I wouldn't say silent cry is a fantastic piece of work from feeder, however there are some brilleant songs on that album ( sonorous, yeah yeah) and grant put a lot of effort into that album. I just got the feeling they tried to hard with silent cry and its by no means their second best, it has to be ywts. It will be interesting to see what their next album will sound like, they should create that sound seen in b sides such as bruised, a mixture of comfort in sound with yesterday went to soon

mmm, he doesn't have "more pickups" just different ones, the jazzmaster comes with 2 "soap bar" pickups, grant kept the neck one but changes the bridge pickup, i've seen it with 2 different kinds of humbuckers (probably gibson) at the bridge. He's changed both on his silver one to humbuckers though.

Ah those were the days, back when rock bands wrote actual songs with actual melodies you could tell apart from all the other tunes on their albums and songs that would make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. Unlike the wealth of utter shite that's been on offer for seemingly the last 10 years now. It's almost as if nature decided that after a certain point no human was to be born in the UK with the ability to write a decent fucking rock song.

no feeder havent peaked, your thinkin about the day when feeder will deide to call it day and everyone will appreciate what they have done. Im not lettin feeder win as you put it, thats exactly what im not doin. As a fan who has listened to every song and likes every song im not bothered what the music world thinks of feeder. SC was decent and was pure feeder, but there has been better
@pixiepigpen16 жыл бұрын
acctually i have an interview where the frontman said his favourite song is milk it by nirvana, so i know they are to an extent. especially with the use of loud,quiet, loud technique which was stolen from the pixies preliminary. and yes i have listened to their other stuff and i would agree that doesn't sound particuarly nirvana influenced but i think their old stuff does.

Losing Jon definitely hurt Feeder !! As Jon was the music of Feeder really ! I was his crush & 1st love ! Jon was the most talented individual I've ever met in my life !! Jon's athleticism adds something that others can't follow ,or mimic !! He was really super fast when he crossed streets ,etc. Like no a human !! Jon was the most artistic type in the band as well.💜🥁🐉🎤💞
