My Uncle was the lead programmer on this. He was one of the first people to receive a PS2 . He got to meet the creator of the game and test drive a bunch of cars Sony were licensing for the game. He told me a story of the first release at E3 and how all thr Sony and Playstation suits were panicking because the demo disc kept crashing.

i have the PS2 for almost bloody 16 years, Gran turismo 3 AND 4 are still my Favorite games on my playstation 2. when i was about 2 years old my dad bought this console with Top gun and Gran turismo 3. but he almost never played on the console so i started playing with the console and when GT4 came out i immediately bought it because i didn't want to miss out i don't know how many hours i've put in Gran turismo 3/4 combined but i can say that is is more than 4.000 hours in total but unfortunately my ps2 is slowly dying. you can see the loading times getting longer and the console takes longer time to recognize the discs i put in. in total my ps2 has ran for more than over 13.000 hours of gameplay if i count every game i've played on this one and when the day comes my ps2 dies I am sure I gonna cry like a baby, so many memories man....

Since it's a fat PS2 assumingly, DO change the laser at some point soon, they were quite flawed in both 3000x and 3900x... My fat 39003 is almost dead but I have a v14 slim too which works well.

_This_ is what I wanna hear when turning on my video game console. Something heavy, blunt and simple with a great hook... like a punch to the face! I actually like this far better than the band's official release, though I must admit it only really gets going at 1:16. I can see why they cut around it. This is hands down my favorite song for an intro cinematic in a video game. Some Nintendo games have this beat in terms of variety in composition. But in terms of raw *power* nothing comes close. And when you're playing a game about fast cars, isn't that what you want?

Gran turismo 3 was the game that made me realise just how far gaming had come/would go. For an early ps2-era game, the graphics alone were absolutely unparalleled and probably about 10 years ahead of their time. And the gameplay...you could play for 100 hours and still have more cars to unlock! I remember the incredibly difficult grind for the big guns like the GT40, GT-ONE and 787B race cars, and the thrill when I finally got them 👌 Of course...years later I realised I could’ve just used the f1 car from the super speedway endurance and made the rest of the races trivial 😂

This isn't the Alan Moulder mix; I have the seven-inch Just A Day EP which has the Alan Moulder mix and Emily on the flip. The Alan Moulder mix is pretty much identical to the original; maybe a touch 'cleaner' sounding. This is a demo that got a good reception so they added the second verse and changed it. I'd love a vinyl copy but I doubt anything exists.
