Could you paint them reflective orange? Population of deer is getting to be quite a road hazard. Even saw one on the interstate north of Lubbock. A live one. See a lot of dead ones along I35 and I40...

Good suggestion. When we are back that way we will take orange reflective paint!

Hi Lennie and Angela. Yep that is about the size of deer in the hill country of Texas. I call them big dogs. That 8 point buck would only yield about 60 lbs. of meat and I have had some 8 points only yield 40 lbs. I don't mess with the little bit of rib meat. Don

Yeah I'm use to Michigan deer that are much bigger 😅 it looks strange seeing that big rack on such a small buck 😳

@lifewithlennie Yes nice rock but no meat. I only shoot what I eat and I process them myself.

the deer are small but that makes the rack look big, and the rack is big to start with 🦌

@@lifewithlennie You are correct I have seen deer like that, both in Texas and Az., I also watched havelinas which I thought they were bear.

@@lifewithlennie you are correct, when I first saw one I didn't know what to think, also I almost got shot by one of our own party then he laughed about it.

also deer are not vegetarians, they are MOSTLY vegetarians but they will eat meat when they are hungry no problem. Non meat is mostly their diet, but they have no problem eating anything they can find when very hungry. Small animals, birds, bugs, etc.

In most cases I totally agree. But these deer are almost domesticated and stay very local. But other than very specific circumstances, I agree with you completely 👍
