I’ve been wanting to watch this video since it came out and I’m just now getting to it. Very good tips on feeding and awesome idea to get the cows to eat the last bit of hay. Several years back I built a farmer a big hay feeder on skids. It had a floor so the hay didn’t set on the ground. You could put 4 or 5 round bales in it. After they were gone pull the feeder into a new spot and start over.

I've been doing the same thing with my hay feedings this winter, feeding hay on top of bare/dead spots in the pasture where the grass has never grown very well and trying to spread out the nutrients as much as possible.
@HeritageFarmsTexas2 жыл бұрын
Same here. I’m Moving across the pasture every time we feed. Trying to spread it out. Going to hit it with the harrow to spread the manure in the next couple weeks.

Do you have a video of how you break up cow patties? You had mentioned you were going to do it. Did you video it?

Hello, check out our playlist “land improvements”. There is a video out there called busting cow patties. We will also make one shortly with the chain harrow and the Kubota sidekick. Thanks for watching.

Great video Scott but I’m closing again by watching the Ranch Ropes advertisement. 😂 Over 36 minutes of ads for your 10 minute video, there has got to be some kind of prize for that dedication 😂

I like what you are doing with the feed and would be very surprised if you didn't see better pasture where you have fed. Please give us some comparison shots next spring. Cows look great.
