I’m so glad I came across this video! I have starter in my fridge from about 3 months ago. Wasn’t sure if I should throw out. Glad I didn’t! Going to feed it and see how it goes. Thanks again!

I hope it works for you! Luckily, I've always been able to bring mine back to life. Fingers crossed for you! 🤞🏻

You too! It's supposed to be ridiculously hot here this week. 😭

This is good to know. I try and feed mine once a week if I'm not using it but clearly I don't have to do that. Excellent! ❤

Well........I'm extremely lazy. 🤣 so I basically feed it once, put it in the fridge, and actually forget about it....which is the story of my life. 🤣❤️

We didn't end up going because it stormed. 😭 so we had to reschedule.

I've had sourdough in the fridge I believe for an year lol... Then when I tried to revive it I didn't remove the alcohol on top, and just fed it with equal amount flour and water. I am happy it worked. It took about a week again though to bring it to life.

Yes! Most of the times I leave the alcohol in it because I think it makes it more sour. I have another starter in my fridge that hasn't been fed in probably 8 months. I'm just lazy when it comes to it. Haha thanks for watching! ❤️

Is this jar air tight? I’ve been using mason jars and it’s so hard to clean / feed etc. I’m just worried if it’s in the fridge it may get mold due to it not being sealed

They aren't completely air tight when you just put the glass lid on the glass jar. They do come with an orange rubber ring and clamps that will make it air tight if you want to do it that way. I've never had any issues with mold even though they aren't completely air tight. I used to use mason jars and I like the weck jars so much more. They're just easier to clean and to scrape down the sides.
