I have been suffering with some intense and painful emotional and physical disease my whole life...53. I went to a Shaman and she was told I need to do the chod practice. I have only been working with this amazing meditation for only four days, but it has changed me. Really, the core of me. I would never have known how much compassion I was capable of. She’s teaching an extremely dangerous doctrine because it is laden with deception. The nefariousness of this philosophy is cloaked in flowery new-age lingo to make it sound harmless. Befriending your demons will only lead to more spiritual strongholds, followed by oppression and then bondage instead of transcendence. These demons will pretend to be your friend until til the end, at which point it’s too late to sincerely turn from your idolatry and ask Jesus into your heart. He’s the only one who has authority over death, because he, as God in the flesh, is the only one who has ever conquered it. All these other gods are fallen angels and not to be yoked with. May the peace you are seeking be found in Christ, who loves to save lost souls when they turn towards obedience in Him and receive everlasting life through him.

Thank you for this! I practiced this meditation yesterday and the demon that I saw from my neck (i have been having thyroid issues) was a little boy who needs attention and I can access it through touching my tattoo of a half angel wing with the letter A, a memorial tattoo to honor my godson who died in my arms. I couldn't make sense of the demon really. but then just randomly, a youtube video of tarot reading for Capricorns, which I am, came up. The reader talked about the Archangel Zerachiel. I don't know anything about archangels. So, I googled and much to my surprise it's the Archangel of Children and healing. I believe it was a sign that I am healing from all my physical, mental, and emotional pain. Thank you.

What an illuminating experience reframing my relationship to a demon that has been wrapped around me all my life, to see it recede when I nurtured it, and to finally meet an ally who has pledged to come to me when I pray and meditate but nonetheless always be present to remind me to keep feeding the nectar to my demon to appease and satisfy it. 🙏🏻💜

Hello Vanya! Peace be with you. In the bible, it says love* your enemies, but Jesus talks about people. About spirits, the bible says: "put on the full armor of God" because even when we can't get rid of them by ourselves, God can help us (The Lord helped me) It talks about this in the book of Ephesians 6:10-18. :) Lets trust our sweet Lord. God bless you Vanya.

This is an amazingly powerful and beautiful meditation. I would have less resistance to it if it started from the outset with the premise that our inner parts, although they can appear fearsome at times, are not "demons", but are usually protectors of some kind. They are always our "allies", even though they sometimes don't look like it.

I make a tiny adjustment in my mind, to give myself the correct outlook - demon I turn into Daemon, the ancient Greek term. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daimon#:~:text=The%20Ancient%20Greek%3A%20%CE%B4%CE%B1%CE%AF%CE%BC%CF%89%CE%BD%2C%20pronounced,later%20Hellenistic%20religion%20and%20philosophy. That suits with the IFS notion that the parts are sacred beings. And it satisfies my sense of linguistical propriety.

Hi! I have a question. Shortly: What to do if the "demon" reappears later on during the day? Long: After I made this meditation, my demon reappeared during the day. I wasnt sure what to do with it, I was thinking that maybe the meditation was rushed a bit and the feeding wasnt complete, so I gave in with it... After that I felt the emotion that was the root cause of the demon existence (shame) but I'm not sure that because of the interaction with it, or just because im confused that maybe I messed up the practise. Whats the correct approach in a situation like this? Thank you!

As someone that practices many aspects of Buddhism, mostly through Pranic Healing, and my own studying through many books. Mainly.., because I've experienced a lot, and have empathized, with human suffering. I still suffer with my wants love, a partner in life. As for why I'm still searching at age 36, there would be many possible reasons. Buddhism is the 1 religion, that philosophically addresses this, then in turn explains the reasons logically. Still I struggle with this demon exercise. Yes, I've seen demons represented in Japanese anime, which is different than the western perspective. Perhaps it's being raised Catholic. I'm Filipino, & some Filipino's won't admit it, but like Indian's are the native people of southern Asians mixed with the Aryan's, Filipino's are a mix of Malay, Indonesian, & some of us Chinese. Of course Indian culture has influenced Indonesian culture, as it has w/ many Asian cultures through Buddhism, and it's concepts of the Aura, Prana, as well as the Chakra System. My fathers tribe in southern Luzon, our ancestors were originally a group of people from southern China, that migrated into the Philippines in the Iron Age. Hence my interest in Buddhism, Taoism, Chinese Medicine, (of course I'm thinking pre-Maoism). I guess the word demon is still a difficult concept for me. Most of this guided meditation I could do, but the concept of asking the demon what it wants, I get it mixed up with asking what I want, because I feel that I'm the cause of my own suffering. However, if outside influences are a part of this, than I prefer the term "Negative Elementals," and I do have my own energetic techniques for getting ready of these. Perhaps I'll try again in the future.
@suemansi89309 жыл бұрын
Hello Jaime, I thought I might be able to help a bit. You might have missed this bit, where she says at about 14.30, that our demons are not something external, they are the energies of fixation. What I understand (from my western interpretation) is that what she's calling demons are the parts of me or you that are holding us back from our wholeness because of how we feel about them, so by befriending and feeding it we change our relationship to the parts of ourselves that we feel overwhelmingly negative about and so we turn them into our own internal monsters. I sincerely hope this makes some sense to you and is of help. It's really hard to put these things into words, I find, and we all speak a bit of a different language no matter where we're from. Very best wishes, Sue.

Hello Donald, I know there are people who lack the capacity to visualise, and it sounds like you know very well that that's you. My guess, though, is that you might have very good language skills as compensation, and I suggest that maybe you can use these to do the exercise, creating a vivid dialogue between your 'self' and the 'demon'. I think this might be like having a phone conversation, where you cannot see the other person, but you can use all your other intuitive skills to understand them and be understood by them. I hope this is of some help, best wishes, Sue.

I had an actual demon for most of my life. I think he left because I loves him too much. He wasn't that bad after I learned how to work with him, but he left. I miss him. Yes. It's weird. I think there's a new one coming around. Which is also weird because I don't dabble with that stuff. Maybe it's because I'm open to talking if they aren't completely rude.
@worldofenigma14 жыл бұрын
Wow. How did you deal with this demon to make it leave? Did you ever see the demon, and if so then what did it look like. I think I have some kind of entity/spirit that I am trying to deal with but maybe more animalistic - so maybe either a deceased animal (spirit attachment), or maybe one of the lower demons (or 'unclean spirit' mentioned in the Bible). I have come across an idea that the lower demons can look like animals. Another idea is that a demon can take over the spirit of an animal (maybe a more Christian point of view but could be true). So I am confused about what this is.
@amberblyledge78594 жыл бұрын
worldofenigma1 The original demon showed up as a huge black wolf in the corner of my room during a dream. Super creepy realistic. To be honest, the way I got rid of him was just annoying him. I wasn’t afraid, and he couldn’t take my soul, which was proven during that dream. Most of the time I just chatted with him, whether he answered or not. Eventually he just got fed up with me not being afraid and just left. The new one, who I don’t know much about, keeps moving my items around. I lost my freaking keys. I NEVER lose my keys, the are always attached to my purse. It’s not a small set either. And other objects that I KNOW I put somewhere specific tend to go missing. I probably need to banish him, but sage gives me a bad headache and I am quite lazy and just don’t care that much. He’s not doing major harm, just making me lose things. I am no expert on demons, as I haven’t really studied. I often think that they like to act animalistic you scare humans. Try just talking, and don’t expect an answer in a conventional way. Often they come as very quiet thoughts, or dreams.
@worldofenigma14 жыл бұрын
@@amberblyledge7859 Interesting. This is not in my dreams but also does not move any objects as far as I can tell. I mean sometimes I forget where things are but usually they turn up somewhere. As far as I can tell it does not understand anything I say. It follows me around the house, like in the kitchen and under the units / kitchen sink for example (staying in the darker places). I don't really see it but hear sounds of it bumping around under the units for example when I am doing things there, or feel its effects on my energy (sucks my energy).

Dear Lama "Gandhi prayed everyday to be more women like" is a reflection of romanticisation in the process of speaking because it gives a good feeling to a non-critical speaker and audience also accept it without critical thinking.But gandhi was not the person the way we think at present.He was not at all a progressive supporters of woman cause.He was just having a psychology of a conservative grandfather when he feels to say something good or religiously ideal he will and when he feels he has to show his disliking he will produce disliking.He was contradictory in his approach.

+Pabitra Bag Interesting...
@artemisian428 жыл бұрын
+Pabitra Bag I appreciate your comment! But to be precise, Lama Allione is quoting someone else who spoke before she took the stage, who said that Gandhi prayed every day to be more womanly. We don't know the context in which that information was shared. Still, from what I know of M.K. Gandhi, this seems not unlikely, because of the old association of "woman" with the "feminine," and his desire to avoid humiliating his opponents, rather acting in such a way as to help oppressive forces to see their own wrongdoing, and therefore begin to see the people he represented. In other words, he wanted to make a connection between opposing forces, which some would label a "feminine impulse." Gandhi said of his wife Kasturba, whom he physically beat whenever he felt the need to assert his authority (as was the custom of his time) at least until the age of 30 as far as I can tell, that she had taught him the most about compassion, and the power of nonviolence. Kasturba never fought back according to him, and eventually, he was able to see how wrong he was to assault her like that. He was deeply ashamed of this. But it lends credence to the idea that he might have prayed to be "more womanly," in the sense of being able to take on unjust suffering and to still choose to love--that was part of his ideal of satyagraha, or nonviolent resistance. It doesn't seem so far-fetched to me that he might have prayed to "be more womanly." The story that Lama Allione herself told about Gandhi is quite authentic, and I don't think she intends to portray him as a crusader for women's rights or something, but to illustrate a different way of approaching conflict, which has to do with the practice she offers in this lecture.
@BioStuff4157 жыл бұрын
I wonder if he prayed to be 'womanly' or more 'feminine', or even perhaps motherly? In the metta sutra Buddha suggests we strive to attain the loving-kindness like that of a mother for her only child. In this way, many Buddhists are aspiring to be more loving - a trait associated with the feminine aspect of our being. I too aspire to cultivate this aspect. It has been from woman that learn the most about this precious mental factor. Tara is the mother of all Buddhas.

It's unfortunate when a Buddhist teacher claims the method is Buddhist when they are simply extracting it from other holistic teachers and renaming it theirs. This method is an exact replica of NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) methods. NLP teachers have been utilizing these EXACT step-by-step instructions since the 1970s. Take a look at Core Transformation work by Connirea Andreas or Trauma Release Method by Jenifer Shapiro. Or take a look at the pre-NLP parts therapies by Fritz Perls and all of the work by Virginia Satir. This method is a re-branding and it is NOT a buddhist method by any means. If you look at it closely it does the exact opposite of buddhist methods - it causes you to become attached to feelings and release. This is not buddhist, it IS new age healing which I totally respect, it just isn’t something this buddhist came up with and it’s not buddhist.
@cazsheldon13136 жыл бұрын
Actually NLP is full of borrowed/stolen methods as it is basically a 'Modelling' project, that is to say taking the simple instructions from methods developed elsewhere by others, eg virginia Satir, Frank Farelly, Milton Erikson, etc. I cannot say where Fritz Perls originated the 2 chair method but he was not unfamiliar with eastern teachings. Certainly this Tibetan method predates both by an order of several (6?) centuries!
@deborahe83366 жыл бұрын
Hahaha. This technique was invented in Tibet by a woman practitioner, hundreds of years ago and she just has modernized it so no one need learn Tibetan or have to find a thigh bone to use as a musical instrument. There's a lot that's been "discovered" in the last several decades which existed long ago. This is not a complaint on my part -- it's a great thing that these skills are getting known by a wider audience.

She needs to do thorough research and study Buddhism, the Tibetan culture and so on.... well, if she is genuinely interested in it rather preaching or say on it without well studies or observation. She also needs to learn how to articulate her words and sentences carefully particularly speaking on spiritual or religion aspect of life and on even other people's culture etc...

A baj csak az hogy Gandi éppen az angolok mellett állt.. és a kép róla hamis. Meg kell kérdezni egy igazi indiait hogy ki volt az ő felszabaditójuk az angolok ellen.. Hát nem Gandi..
