I used to work in nutrition. I think they definitely do prepare the potatoes differently on the vegan (plant balls) dish since mashed potatoes usually contain butter or cream. Even if they use margarine, not all brands of margarine are vegan (might contain a little bit of milk or whey). I wouldn’t be surprised if the mashed potato is straight potato and nothing else lol. Also, the gravy would also have to be plant based as well, which is probably why everything tasted better with the meat based gravy.

I actually really like the plant balls and the daim cake is 💯 for me, although I typically just buy from the grocery section and eat them at home. I wonder if the difference in the mashed potatoes was dairy being added to the ones on the meat plate, since presumably the plant ball plate was all vegan friendly.

Be careful of the salt. I’ve lost kidney function due to a heart attack plus have thyroid disease. My dietician told me it’s cheaper but our bodies aren’t meant to digest soy and all the chemicals. Going vegan is better😊

How is it, that we reside in the same state, yet there’s a $2.00 difference in the price? The meatball platter down here in SoCal is $11.99. Thank you both for your honest review of the entire menu. Ok please read thoroughly abd do another video please to answer my questions. Please start out your videos by saying if you've just turned tuned into my blog I am your name, your location , have chosen this profession and a reason, how long you been working with your partner the one from the birthday video and a bit about your relationship with your mom. Maybe just a few sentences. Because I saw the Ikea video and they sense that you are close like me and my mom. She's been taking me to IKEA for 46 years. I think it it's definitely an attribute that stands out among many families so I just want to know more about you. So earlier I mentioned about location. The reason for this is because I'm in the west coast part of the United States. The cafeteria offerings that we have are slightly different than what you have in your video. We have never ever had scones. And the dish with the sauce some kind of meat dish maybe chicken we don't have that either. Our salmon the famous white dill sauce. That dill sauce can be purchased in the market the Ikea Market downstairs. Are both fascinates me and disappoints me the changes between locations of Ikea stores and the availability of food products as well as Warehouse products period from 2020 until now I hate the in Las Vegas Ikea because of the lack of product availability and Associates. It does not seem to operate like like its sister stores. So now I shop online which is even more distressing. All in all thank you so much for your video and I have you on notifications to TuneIn all of the time.

Assuming the mashed potatoes in the plant based one doesn’t have milk or butter in it (assuming that the whole dish is vegan) and the gravy isn’t a chicken/ beef based gravy (again assuming that the plant based one is all vegan). Ruling those ingredients out makes the mashed potatoes and gravy less rich and less meaty/savory

at the ikea near me all the dishes are served with some mixed boil vegetables instead of peas and i think they used to serve some baked brussel sprouts. Cinnamon buns are literally my favorite along with the hot dogs and ice cream (and ofc the swedish meatballs).

The US Ikea menu was modified after the pandemic, and prices are much higher now. For example, the salmon had a lemon dill sauce, and costs $6.99. And more veggies sides, not peas. 10 meatballs (for $5.99) instead of just 8. Also the vegan hot dog had more toppings before. But it will be replaced in 2024, by one that tastes like regular rubbery hot dogs.
