"Feed The Artist" is a crowd funded campaign designed to raise money to take care of touring artists. Touring is hard. It's uncomfortable, stinky, expensive, and something almost always goes wrong: a van breaks down, a tire goes flat, a venue cancels, whatever... The whole point here is to provide a place of rest, comfort and love to traveling bands who play our venues - to give them a little piece of home out on the road, at least for the time they're in Nashville. Who knows - maybe this makes it easier to go on to the next city, and forget whatever went wrong in the last one.
Our goal is to raise at least $17,000 to cover the cost of providing a little bit of home for bands over the next year at over 175 shows that we will host.
Rocketown is a Faith Based nonprofit youth facility - as such, our funds are limited, but are hearts are SO BIG! We love each and every band that comes through our doors, and all we want is the opportunity to bless them. Most of the bands that tour here are struggling just to stay on the road - we want take it easier just by providing the most basic human needs - a GOOD meal, not pizza or fast food, care packages with supplies for for the road, maybe even something as simple as an oil change for the van they're driving for thousands of miles to get to their fans.
This is where WE are asking YOU to be our partner! We want you to be a part of this! Many of these bands are on your ipod and you love them just as much as we do. So help us FEED THE ARTIST. Any amount you can give is awesome. There's no such thing as too much or too little. We love what we do, we love what the bands do, and we want you to be a part of making it easier for them.
