Among the east asians, some Koreans do have amazing skin because we have clear water while many other countries have lime water. Also, living in a buliding that is required to switch pipe lines help to. Have you seen the traveller's shower filter colors on each country? And definitely genetic plays a strong role too. Sorry to disppoint you, but Asians could very well look their age also. And could be tall. I once dated a Japanese around his 40, he was taller than me (I am 175) and looked his age. Didn't seem to be half caucasian at all. It's a myth that all asians are looking like babies till they are elders. Their skin around 40 is showing signs of age. I turned 40 this year, and I know I'm blessed. I have friends who unfortunatly has not reached the age I am due to cancer etc. It's a privilege to grow older. I appreciate your video. It an be difficult at times because some people expect you give up on EVERYTHING just because you are older. Give up on looking your best, dressing how you want, not settling in love, not accepting minimum or below your standards. Suddenly you are not as appreciated or taken into account the same way. Recently I felt….time is going to pass regardless, so why give up on pursuing everything I want just because I am older. I am going back to school for a nursing degree and I already know how I will be perceived. But I’m doing it for the most important person in my life…..my self. So let’s go hard on our health journey, our fitness journey, our love life, our friendships, doing what is best for us, not others. One day I’ll be much older and I want to look back and be proud of living life for myself. We are here to make our mark in this world, we have purpose. Let’s make it count. 😊 By the way, I turn 42 this August. Hugs from NYC.❤

I turned 40 a good while ago and I didn't feel any different, or traumatized. We're a very different generation of 40y olds and above, women and men. We're adults but of a very different kind to our parents at the same age. Myself and my friends have kept really young at heart and we have rich, dynamic lifestyles full of travels, fun times and challenging intellectual and creative pursuits. We are all happy with our jobs. I'm never told I look "young for my age", just that I look much younger... than what people expect 40+ women to look like. It's a bit thanks to genetics but it's mostly due to my lifestyle and mindset, I think. I AM young. My mind is fresh, my body is as capable, and I take great care of myself on all levels. I vividly remember my mother at my current age and we are *worlds* appart.

I’m 38. When people tell me I “look really good for my age”, I know they mean it as a compliment, and is their way of saying I look a lot younger. But I don’t take it as a good thing. I want to look my age. I am nearly forty and there is nothing wrong with that. My mental and emotional well-being is the best it’s ever been, I have grown out of the naivety of youth, and I’m feeling empowered to start to do what I want with my life. It took me a long time to get here.

You’re truly an inspiration to a lot of women out there… Been following you since you were a dental student…I still remember the video where you talked about how you went from a dental tech student in Korea to a dentistry student in the US, it was very inspiring… Keep doing what you love, be strong, time heals (sounds cliche, but it’s true, I’m speaking from my own experience), hang out with ppl who constantly radiate positive vibes….❤❤❤

well theoretically yea its just a number and yet our body tissues can't agree with it - for certain things it will be too late no matter what u think or want, for example u cant become professional athlete in ur certain 20s, in 30s and 40s and ect, if u just starting, well u can be amateur and there will be certain category for u, but it won't be that actual pro-sport among those who started as kids

Exactly. I keep talking to young boys that are looking for girls and turning their lives miserable, that they should be alone and build their lives that, when they get older, life will be marvelous by themselves.

I'm 40, but don't feel and look like my age. I'm very athletic even when young. No vices, and unhealthy diet. I workout most of the day of the week. This is all about mindset. Honestly, I feel like I'm 25. One tip: for guys/girls at 35-40, if you really want to assure good health, one wuick way, is to. try to run as fast as you can. If you feel dizzy and out of breath (really out of breath), then you should take care of your health seriously. If not, then walla! you;re like me and the rest who are reeping what we sow during our younger years!

Time is strange I didn't look like mid 40's until now. I think 44 was my last year of looking "young". 45 is hitting me like a mac truck. Grey chin coming on. Oh well a touch of grey kinda suits me anyway. 😎

Learning and hobbies keep the mind young. I've heard of that before, and I guess I've seen it in action with some elderly people who seem more energetic or vibrant compared to others in their position. Also, I think it also looks different if you're more introverted or extroverted because extroverts are going to continue connecting with people first and then learn or try something because they're socializing. Introverts are more likely to try something alone at home before searching for connections outside, but some will keep it to themselves. We probably never see just how many people are trying something new because they don't publicize it (whether they're excelling or struggling). It all comes in phases. I was the first person in my class to get married which means I took a risk at an early age. I didn't have children until 6 years after. Now I'm almost 32, married, and we have two kids. We don't own a home of our own yet, I stopped my formal education at an associates degree, and I've been a housewife. Some would say I did life backwards, but I just focused on different things. I can always return to school later on, for example. I also continue to try different hobbies at home (I'm currently working on fermenting different foods). My timeline is catered to my personal values and preferences, and that's what matters. It would be uncomfortable to have a timeline that catered to someone else, and that's a point to be made. As long as we're comfortable with who we are, and we're still trying to learn new tricks at our pace, we're doing just find wherever we are at any age.

I’m 30 and I still play games all day and live with my mom. No job due to timing of things; graduated during Covid, grandparents became bedbound, got a dog to take care of. Meanwhile my friends from school have whole ass careers, my former gaming friends have moved on from it, and some have their own families. Do I care? Nope. I do what I want and will not conform to age roles. Gamer, young person at heart always, and Asian genes have blessed me as well.

Your messages are so empowering! Thank you for sharing your journey with us! I think that life happens in chapters and not so much in numbers. We all have our own book. Some chapters are longer than others and that's okay but some chapters are way shorter and we can miss them and want to re-live them but there is always something new to look forward to! God bless you on your journey! I really do appreciate your outlook on life!
