I turned 40 a good while ago and I didn't feel any different, or traumatized. We're a very different generation of 40y olds and above, women and men. We're adults but of a very different kind to our parents at the same age. Myself and my friends have kept really young at heart and we have rich, dynamic lifestyles full of travels, fun times and challenging intellectual and creative pursuits. We are all happy with our jobs. I'm never told I look "young for my age", just that I look much younger... than what people expect 40+ women to look like. It's a bit thanks to genetics but it's mostly due to my lifestyle and mindset, I think. I AM young. My mind is fresh, my body is as capable, and I take great care of myself on all levels. I vividly remember my mother at my current age and we are *worlds* appart.

I appreciate your video. It an be difficult at times because some people expect you give up on EVERYTHING just because you are older. Give up on looking your best, dressing how you want, not settling in love, not accepting minimum or below your standards. Suddenly you are not as appreciated or taken into account the same way. Recently I felt….time is going to pass regardless, so why give up on pursuing everything I want just because I am older. I am going back to school for a nursing degree and I already know how I will be perceived. But I’m doing it for the most important person in my life…..my self. So let’s go hard on our health journey, our fitness journey, our love life, our friendships, doing what is best for us, not others. One day I’ll be much older and I want to look back and be proud of living life for myself. We are here to make our mark in this world, we have purpose. Let’s make it count. 😊 By the way, I turn 42 this August. Hugs from NYC.❤

I'll turn 25 in 2 weeks , i feel too old and i haven't done anything yet, i did graduate dental school and have my own business as a self taught bridal accessory designer and i also handmake them , i'm trying my best to feel good i try to take care of myself by improving my relationship with Allah, workout, eat healthy etc...but seriously i'm too lonely i got no real friends, no job related to dentistry which i know makes me happy, i'm not married and having a family feels so important to me as a female...i got this feeling the whole time that i'm missing out on alot and that i'm too old and haven't achieved anything in life

This helped me. I’m 31, and I’m not where I wanted to be in life and yet, I’m trying to be proud I have survived things I would have never imagined. Thanks for reminding me I still have time.

I just want you to know I have been following you since the last 2 years now. I am a licensed assistant now and on my last 2 semester before I apply for dental school. You have been such an inspiration to me

Shoot I'm 39 myself and I still got plenty I want to do and my body isn't stopping me, I have Aleve extra strength for that 😂 But seriously, I'm just glad God keeps giving me another day of life to be with the ones I love and care about. Also, I'm having a party at a kids pizza place next year and having them announce my name 🙌😂

I’m 30 and I still play games all day and live with my mom. No job due to timing of things; graduated during Covid, grandparents became bedbound, got a dog to take care of. Meanwhile my friends from school have whole ass careers, my former gaming friends have moved on from it, and some have their own families. Do I care? Nope. I do what I want and will not conform to age roles. Gamer, young person at heart always, and Asian genes have blessed me as well.
