For the first two years sometimes I felt so sick after my sessions in the infrared sauna, but my husband spent a few thousand and I didn't want him to feel like he wasted his time and money when he was so hopeful it would help me. I kept up using it and I am so grateful because I am so much healthier. It wasn't the sauna alone but a combo of healthy choices overtime. I shed a few severe food allergies (my lungs would close) and skin rashes and disorders that had become chronic and crippling. I stopped taking all supplements and vitamins, kept up my antinflammatory clean food diet, and occasional water fasting and started praying, journaling and meditating. I stopped spending all my money on naturopathic doctors who were frustrated in my lack of progress. I am now, free, thriving and healthy but it did take time and the guts to stop chasing all these supplements, and extreme measures like colonics (yes I emptied my gut twice and repopulated it with pre and probiotic) , and weekly acupuncture I could no longer afford. I finally let my body and brain rest...and sweat it out in the sauna.

It's called a "Healing Reaction" as your body rids the toxins in your body. This is a good reaction and will gradually go away as you continue to use the sauna. Depending on the level of the reaction, it's best to go slow for awhile until the body can detoxify and not get overloaded. But consistency must be maintained until the toxins are removed.

Hey Matt, question for you, I purchased a sauna (Health Mate Enrich2) that claims to be low EMF but I have no idea if it actually is. I don't believe the wires are shielded. The power box is directly under the seat and it does not look as though it has any shielding around it. I can't afford a different sauna but was wondering if there is a way to shield the wires/power box and reduce EMF/radiation after the fact? Thanks for considering my question

Hi Matt, I got an ultra low emf sauna and have been using it for a week now everyday for about 25-30mins at 145-150. No binders lots of water though. I usually use it after getting off the peloton. Last 2 days I have felt like the worse flu hit me. Very Swollen glands (neck lymph nodes and nose region/left side) tender and red now. I usually preheat the sauna before I get in and i do get a good sweat on. I have read many things and the one that seems to fit is that I basically over detoxed and my body can’t keep up so I basically poisoned myself. Thoughts?

For leaky gut you should use slippery elm bark to coat the gut walls, alongside generic American saffron to detox and reduce inflammation. Then supplement with L-glutamine to repair the gut walls and psyllium husk + bentonite to cleanse the intestines.

Great comment. Care to elaborate a bit? I’m asking because I have all of these supplements, and didn’t notice anything from slippery elm, both capsules, the tea, etc... Also noticed nothing from high gram glutamine, the only thing that helped me with noticeable benefit was binders.
@secundusytp4517
@secundusytp4517 4 жыл бұрын
@@matt-justice L-glutamine is used by your gut as a fuel source, it is necessary to heal the gut walls. Your body naturally produces it but may need more than you can produce in cases like this. Slippery elm is a demulcent that will form a protective film in the intestines therefore reducing inflammation and preventing further toxins from leaking into the bloodstream from the gut. American yellow saffron has powerful antioxidant properties that will aid in cleansing the intestines. It has a pleasant taste and is easy made into tea.The bentonite will bind to toxins and the fiber in psyllium husk will stimulate peristalsis. This is very important as the gut creates a coat of mucus to protect from acidic wastes harming the gut lining, but over time with an improper diet it will harden and create intestinal mucin, commonly known as mucoid plaque. The plaque will absorb toxins over time and become a constant source of toxicity in the small intestine and colon, small intestine primarily. This also becomes a bed for parasites such as Candida albicans which proliferates and penetrates the intestinal epithelium by forming rhizoids (roots). From there toxins and especially bacterial lumens leak into the bloodstream causing many different symptoms.

@secundusytp4517
@secundusytp4517 Жыл бұрын
@@dave9547 It's completely safe to use them all at the same time and while taking saunas, they actually work better together. The primary purpose of using saunas for detox is promoting vasodilation which encourages the removal of primarily fat-soluble toxins stored in fatty tissues, which are then released into the bloodstream and sweat out through the skin. Niacin also works wonderfully to greatly enhance the good effects of saunas. They used a combination of niacin and saunas to save the lives of the sickly firefighters who breathed in the toxic fumes during 9/11. The doctors that did that now run a clinic called "Detoxinated" and have youtube videos on how this process works. I'd truly recommend it as it can be life-changing, valuable information. To your health Dave

It’s hard for me to sweat in general, but I’ve noticed this also during an infrared sauna session. I become intolerant to the heat after about 17 mins, but when I step out and “dry off,” there’s very little sweat. Is this dangerous? Does the ability to sweat increase with frequent sauna use? As an exercise physiologist and functional medicine practitioner I recommend supplements that help with liver function. Selenium, milk thistle, and molybdenum are some good ones. A binder will definitely help your body rid itself of the toxins and prevent re-circulation. A good protocol that opens up your detox pathways is called Push/Catch Liver Detox by QuickSilver. It's a professional formula that works! Also, using a rebounder or vibration plate before or after sauna use would be wise to get the lymphatic fluid moving. Also, make sure that you immediately rinse off after using the sauna to prevent re-absorption of any toxins and if you use the rebounder or vibration plate, use it after you rinse off. I also use low level red light therapy and an infrared amethyst matt and CoQ10 along with PQQ to support mitochonrial function. A lot to this, but too much to explain here.

Incredibly hard to beat some Organic Pasture-fed (or Grass fed) beef liver for overall nutrition. They make desiccated capsules of it if you cant stand the taste. I make my own so I can consume up to 1lb(wet) a week. ALSO, eating some fermented foods can do much more than supplemental probiotics ;) Depending on what probiotics you take, fermented foods can replace them, as long as you don't have a lactic acid buildup problem. If thats the case take MSM. I hope you look all this up for yourself to be honest. Cheers!

@annieangotti

Nate Illes This is what Im wondering!! Is it the overload of toxins that caused the leaky gut and they need to be removed in order to heal the leaky gut hmm🤔
@secundusytp4517
@secundusytp4517 4 жыл бұрын
@@annieangotti One of the main causes of leaky gut is an overgrowth of Candida albicans, a fungal yeast. Candida is present in the vast majority of humans and only becomes pathogenic when one routinely eats an unhealthy diet. The body is unable to break down a lot of the toxic substances so the Candida does it instead. When the Candida becomes dominant due to other gut bacteria being no longer able to keep it in check, it forms roots called rhizoids which penetrate the gut lining and cause leaky gut. From there fungus and bacteria spread to the rest of the body through the blood and cause various symptoms of disease. The kidneys which filter the blood become overtaxed and begin to dysfunction due to toxic waste products, which are overwhelmingly acidic. Slowly but surely kidney function fails. That is why the majority of Americans today have weakened and damaged kidneys. This also affects the liver and gallbladder creating gallstones, and many other areas of the body. You should get the picture though. "All disease begins in the gut." - Hippocrates

If you want to remove heavy metals primarily you want to look for alpha-lipoic acid (ALA), dimercaptosuccinic acid (DMSA), and dimercaptopropanesulfonic acid (DMPS) in that order. ALA will remove heavy metals like cadmium and mercury from the brain and the body, the rest remove only from the body. ALA has a half life of 3 hours so if you want to begin a heavy metal detox you must take it day and night. Once the ALA has decayed it will dump whatever heavy metal it was chelating throughout your blood and lymphatic system, which can cause more damage than good, as your body tries to isolate these metals. DMSA has a half life of 4 hours, so less frequently. DMPS has a half life of 8 hours so even less frequently. You will also want to supplement Vitamin E, Vitamin C, magnesium, and zinc. Try to get vitamins that are derived from foods, not synthetic.
