They are embracing life in such a positive way that I am totally flabbergasted. 0:08:15 This one is so joyful and honest. Wow!!! It sounds like friends having a great time on a summer day at a lake in the middle of nature. Jumping into the lake while laughing and giggling! It's like a friendship glowing in sunshine. Incredible! Heart touching! 0:14:58 So beautiful, kind and sweet that I had to cry. It's so human, warm and friendly it makes my heart jump! Makes you thankful to be alive. 0:33:43 Mindblowing stuff. The way how Jerry plays... Like a shining star. Later the whole band joins into vibe and groove: Pure Magic!! 0:38:36 It's like sweet honey that is dropping out of their instruments.

I love when this jam featured in between China/Rider in 73 & 74
@joeherbert75557 ай бұрын
We always called the jam between China Cat and Rider the 'Tico Tico' jam. Most were from the '72-'74 era. These particular instances of that same jam seem a bit spacier and don't feel like they're coming out of China Cat, but I may be wrong.

Thanks…this has some of the most amazing China cat jams…my absolute favorites….I’ve thought about putting a play list of just that particular jam, ya know the one where the drums pick the rhythm up and they throw each other around…I can’t tell ya how many times, I find that jam and just repeat it over and over….helpin me through my blues for sure…getting high doesn’t cut it anymore, this is the next best thing. ❤️☮️🎼💜☯️🌹💙🙂♥️🍄🎼☮️🍄🩵🩷❤️Wow, I’ve been following Jerry since 1968 and I saw him for the first time in central park and I’ve been following him right up until 1990, Well over 1000 shows of JGB and the grateful dead, and I never heard this jam until today. I did not even know it existed,and 59th St. bridge happens to be one of my favorite Simon and Garfunkel songs. Listening to this jam.right now I’m feeling so tripped out and so happy and loving it,I just cannot believe it, it’s so magnificent. Jerry is so so incredibly magical. I just don’t have the adjectives to describe the feeling I’m getting from this jam. I hope everybody who loved Jerry can log into this jam and listen to it for themselves because they would also be teleported to heaven just like I was while listening to this particular jam today…….. I still miss Jerry 😢 so much. It’s unbelievable to me that I still think of him and how he changed my life in so many positive ways,,,,,,,,,,,it still brings tears to my eyes that he’s not among us. I just hope if there is an after life we will be reunited again; that would make me the happiest person in heaven. 🎼🌈☮️☯️🙂💜❤🎼☯️💚🍄🍄🍄🌹🪐🌈🔥🌙💥 💙💜💚🖤🩵💛❤️🧡🩷☮️💚☮️🩷💙💜💚❤️☮️🎼☯️🌹

When I saw the Simon and Garfunkel reunion in Oakland, Paul Simon told the story that he wrote the Feelin" Groovy song in '66 after a day spent getting stoned and tripping around San Francisco with some of the guys in the Dead and their crew.
@notngnimer Жыл бұрын
In an interview, Simon revealed that he wrote the song after taking a walk in New York City’s Central Park. The park had just opened a new pedestrian bridge known as the 59th Street Bridge, which was the inspiration for the song.
@andypetrovich21552 ай бұрын
@notngnimer Maybe Paul Simon is stoned and tripping everytime he tells his story?
@1donjuego8 күн бұрын
I recall hearing that this 59th street bridge was built over the nypd incinerator where they burned confiscated pot, and the hippies would hang out on the bridge to get high.

perfect. a bit tricky to explain, but this perfectly fills that cheerful, something I can play that lets others feel natural while I quietly celebrate the grateful dead. !.
