+jehanr I should be glad it's only recent blunt suggestions. I don't live in Sri Lanka so I don't hear it much since my parents aren't with me. But gosh forbid we Skype. I was in SL about a month ago and my grandmother was asking me specifics about me to write a matrimonial ad. Kind of prompted me to leave the country again :-P Suggestions to all Sri Lankans hearing these hints...leave the country. You hear it much less.

Haha I went through the same thing!!! It did not matter that I got a phd even! Eventually I ended up married to a white girl and they were so relieved that they did not complain that she is not Sri Lankan. We did not waste any time, before they could start whining about grandchildren, we managed to have a fair-skinned son(the perfect combo for a Sri Lankan grandma)!! Now he is 3 and they are starting to ask, when are you going to have another one?
