Brother, learn German come here, it looks difficult but we I Dian Muslims anyways learn amny languages, Englisch, hindi, Urdu, telugu Malayalam, the Arabic for Quran. Central Govt has no role in fixing GST on any material or service. It is the GST council that fixes the percentage rate of taxes. All the states are the members of GST council. Education in India is like Water....Water everywere , Not a drop to drink.

More than 2 lakhs go annually to these places during Haz spending atleast least 6 lakhs per person. Another 6 lakhs visit as Umrah spending 2 lakhs each a year. Do you know more than 15 million muslims from India work in the Gulf and send several billions to the country. Have you visited Adivasi areas of MP, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand, Gujrat and Rajasthan. Have you seen their poverty. Have you seen the poverty of SC, Dalits and OBC imposed on them by Manuvadis. So don't give a lecture on how much tax a muslim pays ?

I don't understand why Ms. Nirmala becomes a punching bag for everything. The GST Council has 33 members: the finance ministers from each state, the minister of state (finance), and the finance minister. Every decision is taken with 100 % consensus. It is the council that has made this decision about popcorn. And what is the big deal? It reflects the financial power of people who buy the type of popcorn (and so the amount of tax they will end up paying). Also, salaried people who complain about paying GST need to understand that earlier, there was the VAT - excise - other taxes model. So it is not as though no tax existed before. The drawback was businesses did not invoice their goods properly before GST. So there was a lot of unaccounted money and large businesses that did not pay tax for the amount of business that they did. It happens now, too, but in a limited way. Businesses are forced to pay some taxes because of GST reconciliation. If something does not add up, they will be prosecuted. Once more and more businesses come into the tax net, more income will be generated for the government. This means equalization of the GST slabs until we have only two or a max of three slabs. This will have an effect on income tax as well in the reduction of tax percentage or making the untaxed income higher. Slowly, the country will move towards depending on direct taxation from GST rather than income tax. Also, people need to question their hypocritical state finance ministers, who vote for something in the GST council but come out in the media and criticize the government for the same thing. Please understand the difference between politics and governance.

No. In 2019, exemptions were given to corporates so that they could play a role in investing in the economy. However, they pocketed profits and did not pass on benefits to their employees or the economy. The government may have had it own reasons to do this, like increasing the favorability for investment. But yes, since 2022- 23, individual taxes have been higher than those of corporates. There is another part to this story, Just like 1.6% of people are overtaxed, only 5% of companies pay 97% of the total corporate taxes. Among them, the top 150 ish companies pay 40% of the taxes. So there is a disparity in corporate tax too just like in income tax. These are issues to be addressed, and these are not new issues. I can see that the ministry is working and tweaking things along the way. This explains the 75,000 standard deduction, a small relief, but seems to be going in the right direction. Suddenly withdrawing benefits for the industry can create problems in being seen as a business/venture-friendly location. I believe the next step that will be taken by the government is to increase the tax net in both corporate and individual taxes. These are the facts. As a private citizen, what am I getting in return? I feel more safe and secure for the past 10 years. I remember a time when there were terrorist attacks all the time when you opened the newspaper. I also remember a time in 2010 when India was the laughingstock of the entire world. Two bridges fell down, an incomplete metro line from the Delhi airport for the October 2010 Commonwealth Games (which opened after the games were over!!), and images of dirty buildings and toilets from the Commonwealth Games village being flashed all over the world. What is the current state of all this that was done? Ruins. Are taxes going to vanish magically? No. But I am happy that my money is not being wasted.
