Feeling the Holy Ghost: Power of the Holy Spirit

I have felt the holy spirit before.. And what I felt is beyond words... I feel a deep warmth inside and I start crying tears of joy.. I feel safe and happy and it makes my mind go to another place... To those of you who have not yet felt it, give your life to the lord and he will fill your whole body full of his spirit and you too will be apart of us all who recognize the love of our JESUS CHRIST!! I type this with tears rolling down my face. I lost my first child Feb 27 to fetal abnormalities. I find myself crying all the time. Especially when my husband goes to work. I can feel the Holy Spirit embracing me. Lord knows I need it. He have been with me for some time and I know it’s him. The feeling is on the inside like he’s breathing on me and it give me chills on the outside. I can feel Tingling down my legs but he’s mostly felt in my arms and chest area. I truly thank God for his presence. He’s truly a comforter. He’s my friend and so much more. The first time, i had never prayed, I felt a heaviness that seemed to pull me to my knees and start to pray, so I did. Now, months later, sometimes when I pray at that church I feel the heaviness but 10x stronger, I enter a real different meditative state, and I too feel an urge to praise God in Jesus’s name.

I just felt the holy spirits presence tonight after my grandma has passed just a few days ago this has been weighing heavy on my heart. My husband is an “atheist” but I always thought I could change him or make him believe later down the road. This has been weighing heavy on my heart these couple of days. I watched a live video of someone who new my grandma from her church and started to get scared because I didn’t know where I was going but I’m so so proud to say I felt the Holy Spirit tonight I cried out. It was so overwhelming I felt it in my chest and I just thought I was having anxiety after not having it for awhile and / a panic attack but I repeated tonight and asked the lord to help me and protect me and show me his love and his light and help / guide me to help sean believe and I truly believe he did in fact give me a sign! I thought I saw and angel just the figure or shadow of you will I was scared at first but just let it consume me I was ready I need to be with my grandma and can not wait to meet her and see her again! But I went out side and called my mom about 100 times and just started crying and balling and trying to explain what happened and why I thought I needed to divorce sean but now he is touched by my story because he had just left to run an errand he didn’t know where I went. I called him to come meet me outside and told him everything and started crying and he believes me. HE IS COMING and I’m truly so blessed to have had this. Please if you don’t know where you going when he comes (AND HE IS COMING SOON) then I beg you to go seek someone you can trust or someone you know can help you get saved and please repent and mean it and live the remainder of your life for god and sharing his word and your testimony and I have no doubt in my mind that you will be more happy you will be FREEE and you will meet him soon

Brooo me too. I thought I was having a full blown panic attack after not having anxiety for a longggg time. My heart and chest felt like it was on fire and was about to explode but at the same time I was at peace. I woke up the next morning with my heart still on fire. This is the Gospel, Gospel is derived from greek meaning good news. The good news is that Jesus has taken the place for our sins. We all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, we all sinned it’s simple. One sin and God can rightfully put us to hell, like a judge sees a murderer and the murderer is guilty the judge who is just will put him into person or even give him a death sentence for the crime he has committed. But God instead of pouring his wrath on us for the sins we have committed, he pours it on his son, his son is the righteous one, the one who has never sinned and who is the author of life. His Son holds all things in place. The Son with the agreement of the Father is sent down on earth and incarnated as a human sent down to die on a cross on a hill named calvary. Through his death and resurrection we have the forgiveness of sins, That is why when Jesus, on the cross, said “It is finished”. but how do we PARTAKE in the cleansing of sins? We must have the obedience of faith, meaning believing AND repenting from our sins. Repenting meaning change your mind, change your will, and change your heart about sin and turn to Jesus. So do we keep on sinning? No! we don’t, we repent from it. Willingly sinning is like putting Jesus on the cross again! Come as you are and let God change you!

I agree with the feeling of tingling throughout the whole body and then something words could never describe, but I only felt this feeling twice in my whole life once when I was 18 and once when I was 58 that's it was a 40-year gap between the two I really don't know how people could feel that every day I feel kind of skeptical about that, but do you believe the Holy Spirit protects people that have had the unusual but beautiful feelings going through your body???

But I've only felt the Holy Spirit two times in my whole life once when I was 18 and another time when I was 58 40 years later. One night I did the unthinkable you guys ever get that feeling where you just drop on your knees and start praying. Yes I did get baptized but the past couple of months I shut him out. But then one night I dropped to my knees and prayed and ask him for forgiveness and to come into my life again and I got this warm fuzzy feeling through out my entire body and felt like a heavy burden was lifted off my shoulder chest and heart. I have felt the spirit twice in my 22 years on earth in the form of a strong comforter, both times I noticed in retrospect that some short amount of time I started to feel different, and all of a sudden it would click that it was the spirit. I wish I could feel this strong comfort more, but I know that Heavenly Father has reserved it to be timed perfectly in his plan, hopefully I will feel this feeling again soon. The spirit can be strong and unmistakable as was in these two times, in which I have no doubt that it was God, it can also be still and small and as such slowing down to listen becomes very important.

For me, I feel the spirit most when I'm moving forward with goals that I've set for myself. An analogy I've heard before is it's easier to move a rolling stone, than to get one rolling. For me, I experience the spirit as a thought to do something that I've been taught is good, but that is hard to do, or involves a change within myself or in how I'm living my life. Its a feeling of warmth/surety/confirmation/elevation/burning in the bosom and the warm fuzzies. It can be elicited by witnessing virtuous acts of remarkable moral goodness. Sadly people from many religions tell their members that when they feel this feeling, it means their church is true. If you consider Occams Razor, what is more likely here? Yet another common emotion created by your own brain, or your invisible sky daddies ghost telling you your church is true?

Identifying the feeling of the Holy Ghost as a "thing" of God is the first assumption, postulate or axiom of my testimony. For me it's not complicated or confusing to identify peace and warmth as something from God. But the sometimes complicated answers I've been given using this simple peace makes me understand the God head has the intelligence to understand the complicated and confusing.

+Luis Rivero -- I feel Holy Spirit who lives in me burn fire of life in my spirit in my chest area when I allow the Holy Spirit teach me in the midst of my thoughts and emotions, I can go to the Holy Spirit just as I am, I don't need to be anything, no need to perform abilities, I can be just as I am, and go to the Holy Spirit who lives in me and allow the Holy Spirit teach me. I feel that you too, just as you are, can go to the Holy Spirit and allow Holy Spirit teach you, the Holy Spirit unconditionally loves us and wants to teach us and wants to feed us, if you feel you're blocking the Holy Spirit, then what I do when I'm blocking is I allow the Holy Spirit teach me in the midst of blocking and then what I notice is I feel the Holy Spirit burn in my spirit in my chest area while the blocking is being lifted and I'm in the allowing more and more

What is the reason that we can perform miraculous power in the name of Jesus? Repented yet not having any spiritual experience is because you repented doctrinally and you did not surely repent before God. You must repent that you tried to live on your own without God, and you must realize and confess that you cannot live on your own. Then God will give you the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Spirit will testify with uncountable gifts and power. What humans absolutely lack are things like the truth and the power of the Holy Spirit. These things are not ideological power but practical experiences. The power does not stay in Christians’ individual bodies but through their bodies, it moves to others, and appear as signs and work as wonders. It is unhappy that these wonders do not appear in Christian churches because modern churches do not fulfill their duties. However, for them who truly turned their way to God, these signs as testimony are universal and Jesus Christ is the same now and before. For them who intend to live on their own God has blocked His ears and closed His eyes. Yet for them who intend to live with the will of God and obey the truth, God will be with them. I was reading the book of john and I got emotional after when me and my children prayed on our knees I felt a great heat I felt so hot and shaky I felt like I was sweating . I've never had it before ? I am menopausal could it be a hot flush or something else ?

I'm currently amazed, confused and curious if I have been touched by the Holy Spirit. After a long spiritual drought of only praying for years, I finally opened the Bible again and started to read regularly and I try hard to do my research and understand everything in depth. Thanks to the spiritual nourishment of the Bible my prayers are having more depth. Since some weeks of praying that intensely I feel all of a sudden a heat pool all over my back. Not sure if its to describe positively or negatively; it just felt intense, sudden, burning and I didn't sweat at all. Is it normal to feel the Holy Spirit only at the back? Also I see some kind of dim light around me every night after prayer ever since I started reading the Bible more intensely. But at the same time I still see those shapeless beings around me, flimmering in the air and hear whispering I can't understand. (Since I was little, I could see these things others couldn't see). So I'm scared that what I felt (and even longer what I'm seeing and hearing) isn't from God. I'm confused and scared if it's the Holy Spirit, angels or something bad... :(

I recently am coming back to God and over the past week or two I quit smoking weed and I’ve been praying much more than usual. I’m not sure if this is entirely normal or not but just over the past couple days every time I pray or say the name of Jesus or “in Jesus name” I get chills over my shoulders, the back of my neck and back of my head, down my torso and into my hips and occasionally in my legs too. I am just wondering if this is the truly the Holy Spirit or just a psychosomatic reaction from being emotional in prayer. I believe it Jesus confirming he is hearing my prayers and that he is with me but some people describe it as a normal reaction to emotions. Any answers, advice, or suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank you and God bless all of you. :)

I got baptized and a man i never knew or even talked to, said.right after i came up from my Baptistism said he felted overwhelmed with the Holy spirit amd had to sit down and said ill bring many people to Know God. And i dont know how to respond to.that. its the truth im no making any of this up. Does anyone have any clue what that means?

Raymond Casillas I would guess that the other man felt impressed to tell you that so you would know your potential to touch others' lives was great and that through your example, testimony and spirit, others will come to know God through you. Have you ever thought of serving a full-time mission? That is one excellent way to bring others unto Christ. Cool story!

Raymond Casillas Think of this comment you made, and how many will come across it. Now think of how many will excuse it as nonsense and how many it will convince. We often tend to downplay the power we have inside of us, just one man of woman can change and shape the world. Maybe you've yet to do these things? God does work in awesome and mysterious ways and he is gentle,kind and slow to anger. You could minister to 1000 people and have 99% of people believe you are lying but if you can lead just one person into righteousness, if the light bulb turns on in just one person's head, you will surely be blessed. Don't underestimate the power of honest prayer and remember that you aren't just one person, for one person walking in the light of truth in a world so dark can effect hundreds, if not thousands around them. Watch the movie Holy Ghost on Netflix, or watch Joshua Shaws channel on KZbin......we can't stop the enemy if we fail to act. The bible also says that a person who leads many hearts to righteousness shall shine like the stars forever and ever. Perhaps it is your destiny, for God has created a destiny for all of us, who can deny you your destiny but yourself? When the spirit of truth comes upon you do you become a memory bank of biblical verses and positive spiritual advice? If so then you could be a beacon for others to come closer to God. Think of yourself as a light house in the distance that when people who are lost in a sea of darkness see, they know to head towards it because they will find nothing but what they need in that direction. @Nirvana God is baptizing you with the FILLED of the "POWER" of the Holy Spirit.. There a difference of having the holy spirit which that comes when you immediately except Jesus Christ. And being Filled of the Holy Spirit that comes from God. So that what you was experienced was that part.

I have a big problem with what these people are saying, for example; The Holy Spirit is not some "feeling" that comes over you, or a machine that gives you "peace" and "good thoughts". THE Holy Spirit is God, you are to talk to Him, you pray through Him (Ephesians 6:18). Just like you pray to God the Father. He is God, not some tool that helps you pray.

How can you be sure what you feel is the holy spirit and not some natural emotion? I feel a sense of joy and contentment at times. Is that the holy ghost but I dont realise it?
