If you guys plan to play this game more, shoot AP at the waterline and HE at the deck/top of the hull/superstructure. Usually you use AP against cruisers and battleships and HE against destroyers. If you can't pen the ship, fire HE Also you don't need to lead over them unless they are sailing away from you. The shell drop is taken into account in the scope.

The Iowa is one of my favorite WW2 ships, It carried F.D.R. when he went out to sea. In one of It's first missions an ally ship called the " William D Porter" (or Willy D to some) was doing some torpedo drills and accidentally launched torpedoes right it the Iowa while F.D.R was on board. Then the Iowa pointed its guns at the smaller ship ready to sink it thinking they were plotting to kill the President. Also its a beautiful and badass looking ship.

You guys are obviously new to WoWs, but GOD that was painful to watch. Unless your a BB(Battleship), use HE (high explosive) all the time. The only time you switch to AP (armour piercing) as a cruiser is when the enemy ship is broadside on. When a ship is broadside on, aim at the water line(the highest point the water reaches on the side of the ship), you want to citadel the ship, which is, penetrate their hull and hit the "vitals" of the ship. It does massive damage and is what BB's are there for, you can do it with all ships though, just easier with a BB. Never sail in a straight line, that's how you get torpedoed, which is why you focus fire DD's(Destroyers). When your playing a BB you need to plan ahead, at the end there, D turned to the right, which meant only 2 of his turrets were facing the enemy. If you're playing a BB don't put out fires straight away, let them burn. You only want to put out fires as a BB when you have 2 or more but you can get away with 2. The only other time is if you know your not going to be shot again(your going behind an island or something). That way they can't set another fire. Don't give your broadside to the enemy, point your nose at the enemy players, that way you stand a chance of ricocheting shells coming at you. Yes, this means all your turrets won't be able to fire but its how you survive. If you can help it, NEVER give them your broadside. Don't over extend, so you don't get outgunned. That DD player at the end did EXACTLY what your supposed to do as a DD. They aren't supposed to be brawling it out with a cruiser, let alone a St Louis. DD's use hit and run tactics, that's what they're supposed to do. He wasn't spotted by the St Louis so he could just keep dropping torps at him. I really enjoyed watching this, just some tips should you guys ever play again. Hope you guys do, I really enjoyed this!!

Have you have ever played Warship Gunner 1 and 2 for ps2. It was awesome! You could do everything in the game, all kinds of ships and hulls. Able to change armor thickness in two spots, Anything in the game you could just about mod.Wasn't a fan of the laser weapons in the game tho. But the amount of stuff you could upgrade was nice. Are you able to build you own ships? also change Engine type( Steam, Diesel and Nuclear), guns ( machine guns, Main artillery, "laser weapon systems") on the ship/ barrel size? and place it where you want? Anyway great video as always!

@@iczyg Realism. As in, they're not posing as the greatest players. That's just speculation though. Like it's one thing to have someone display the Iowa and Nagato, but to have competent players at the helm is another thing. I think they played at their correct "weight" level. But again, that's personal speculation. It might also have something to do against the "illusion" of it being easy to go from tier 1 to tier 7 (?). I forget if it's 7 in Legends or if that's been updated yet, but top tier. Seeing them struggle with their own player talents, or lack (which ever you see it as) is a lot more telling of the game than someone "Leroy Jenkins"-ing with an Iowa into a wall of skill from the Skillakaze.
