Learn how to minimise the effects of the non-dominant eye with two practical tips that work for all levels of tennis players. www.feeltennis.net/eye-domina...
The first tip is to make sure your head is oriented forward as the ball is approaching you from the other side of the net. If you happen to turn your head a bit too much to the side in the preparation phase you may make your non-dominant eye too dominant and it's going to judge the ball poorly.
By keeping your head oriented forward you ensure that you get good depth perception and that your dominant eye will naturally take lead in focusing on the ball.
The second tip is to make sure that you see the ball clearly in focus after the bounce. When you see the ball clearly you will naturally position your head in such a way that your dominant eye will see the ball well again.
