Flexible Endoscopic Examination of Swallowing allows us to literally peer at the human swallow in all its glorious color.
The view we have with FEES permits us to see coloration changes, a range of edema, patho-physiologic changes, and kinesthetic abnormalities that might have an impact on swallow function.
Today’s modern endoscopy equipment gives us an unprecedented picture presented in digital high definition.
The aerogastric junction comes to life and gives up its secrets during FEES, and I’ve learned sooo many things that I never expected during my years of doing FEES that I would love to share with you, so let’s dive in!
Watch and Enjoy!
