I studied in Panchayat and Govt Schools. My education fee paid for school education is not more than Rs.100. For intermediate two years education in NB Science collegePattarghatti,Hyd. was Rs.400/-. My degree fee was1500/- for three years. I have paid Rs.121/- per semister in OU for my PG degree. I have encouraged my son to study in Govt School and College. Teachers in Govt Schools and Colleges are qualified.

Dear Sai, appreciate the efforts & expressing the depressive bitter truth. You’ve advised the solution to this problem from financial planning perspective but in my opinion this will minimise the problem but do not solve it. The rat race situation gets more intense. Parents do plan finance for kids education well but that means they gain purchasing power & that becomes weakness for parents, strength for the educational businesses, which is the case now by the way. So, it’s never ending story. Only 3 hard solutions - don’t plan for kids, move out of country or conduct compliance auditing on existing schools - which will never happen.

Somewhere it has to stop, govt school veste bagundu anipistadi. even if we get same quality of education, but bcz of society we dont prefer. Manaki freebees kanna as govt collecting taxes they can provide free education, free medical nothing required more. Its time to plan thier education properly. At the same time we should always question schools and remeythem their responsibility. Complain to higher authorities wheneven we find their fault.

Another point from my perception: once upon a time a guru used to be responsible for all around development of a child. Even now the education institutes/schools/colleges are responsible for it, but now the teachers/lectueres take care only about the syllabus/scores/ranks and the classmates “take care” about “teaching” high-end lifestyle ! I have verified most of the international schools management in Hyderabad and most of them are either in real estate business or politicians. That's why the school fees is increasing steeply YOY and also I found most of the marks in progress reports are purposefully manipulated with high marks to make parents happy so that parents don't move them to other school and show the high fees is worth paying. At the end of the school they are only good in English communication but not in other subjects If it is a Trust school then it is good but difficult to get seats as most of them are based on lottery. So I have chosen the school within my proximity and in my budget..Small schools are not so bad at all compared to big international schools. Don't look at your neighbourhood kids or someone suggesting you to join in big schools.
