Animals hate fireworks. I'm not a fan of fireworks, as they scare my pets so much. Wow ! Jackie was so mad- she wasn't having any of that feesh stealing business. I didn't know that flying squirrels ate fish- I was curious enough to look it up further- Turns out, yes, they do eat fish scraps. No wonder why Fiona loves the nest so much- little bits would fall in between the sticks where a little squirrel could reach. Love to watch the videos, and love nibbles, but hate that they were all stressed from the fireworks. I was so relieved to read in the other comments that Shadow did return. Happy New Year to you and all of Jackie Shadow and Fionas' Fans !

@tintadawn2756 Yes, animals hate fireworks. My dog hates them and is terrified every year. The birds which I feed are very scared, too. I'm also relieved that Jackie and Shadow are ok and that they both returned to the nest. 🦅🦅😍 Yes, Fiona loves fish scraps and she ate a lot of them after Jackie left the nest. That sub adult sure is brazen and seems to know and is fairly comfortable in that tree let alone harassing Jackie pretty good. Could that sub adult be Jackie's offspring, Spirit? She was Jackie & Shadow's last born and fledged eaglet hatched in 2022. We'll never know but one does wonder...🤔

Jackie is yelling large voice to protect her fish, But Shadow doesn't appear. Suppose he is still scared of fireworks. Explosion sounds make birds awful!! 🥶😥 Leftover is New Year's gift for Fiona. ❤🐿

@kawaaisa383 Indeed! Fiona 🐿️ seemed to be happy with the leftover. Shadow was certain that Jackie would deal with the young eagle, so he did not come back.
