@@James-zk4en Do you know, on You Tube I have read so many nasty comments over the years about the abuse of horses at top level dressage. My opinion is as follows: The only contributors who have a right to comment are those who have first-hand evidence and have the equestrian knowledge to be able to differentiate between a trained horse working hard or an unhappy horse being obviously hurt. I and I guess others will be willing to listen when the examples have given are there for all to see. I am not naive, cruelty does exist within the horse world in all disciplines. Can't speak for the present era, but back in the day the methods used to train show jumpers were diabolical: electric shocks, blisters on hedgehogs skins and ironmongery in the horses' mouths that were akin to the instruments of torture. One very famous SJ yard who must remain anonymous was investigated by the RSPCA using undercover film but it was hushed up by the BSJA at the time as the revelation would have destroyed the sport. Even at the HOYS in the sixties, I witnessed first hand Raimondo D'Inzeo kick his horse The Rock in the stomach because he failed to secure a clear round. Nobody admonished him - now he would be vilified. Horse welfare is of the highest standard as any whiff of cruelty would not be tolerated by Joe public. So I ask you, before you libel Carl, or indeed any other rider where is your evidence?

Beautiful ride. I love Charlotte, but yes beat her. You both are wonderful to watch. Delicato is a lovely horse. I think you could win an individual gold on him. Admittedly I am fan devoted fan of you both, but because I am your age please go ahead and beat her.
