Very impressive seeing the Samoan people finally united. It has been over a century since Samoa was truly united and it was united under my ancestor's rule and tutelage, Le Afioga Malietoa Talavou, Le Maota O Pouesi. (The House of Pouesi) Until his passing in 1880. Then, since 1880 onwards, the Maota O Poutua's descendents had assumed the Malietoa Title, from Le Maota O Poutua, Or from the House of Poutua, or the Malietoa descendants from Malietoa Moli, his son Malietoa Laupepa, to his son Malietoa Tanumafili, and onto his son the last Malietoa Head of State of Samoa, Le Susuga Malietoa Tanumafilli le Lua, until his passing in 2007. It was under the Malietoa was Samoa truly united from the last century before the Berlin Tripartite treaty of 1889 and 1899 which divide Samoa to American Samoa and Western Samoa, (Until 1997) Samoa from 1997-presently.
